CNN Poll: Obama At 70% Among Latino Voters
(CNN) The latest national survey of likely Latino voters shows President Barack Obama retaining a big lead over rival Mitt Romney in the key voting demographic, matching the level of support he received from Latinos in 2008.
The poll also showed a majority of Latinos said the economy was a more important issue than immigration, and indicated enthusiasm among Latinos is lower than it is among non-Latino whites.

Obama enjoys the backing of 70% of likely Latino voters, according to the CNN/ORC International survey, slightly higher than the 67% of Latinos who voted for him in 2008. Republican nominee John McCain garnered 31% of the 2008 Latino vote. In 2004, 53% of Latinos went for the Democratic nominee John Kerry over the 44% who went for President George W. Bush, according to national exit polls.

Don’t let polls discourage you. Pick your favorite candidates, support them and vote for them on election day. That is our job as human beings.
God will play a role in this election. His will shall be revealed soon enough. God does not worry about polls and you shouldn’t, either.
Trust God.
Fair enough.
This one person I know spits on the ground whenever he has to say the name. Is this a cultural thingy?......
Welfare draws hispanics to the polls. Democrats promise them more food stamps so they vote democrat. Same as blacks.
I don’t know anyone personally who supports obama, even the liberals I know.
It is all very confusing.
If their biggest concern is the economy then how can they decide to pull the lever for O? This makes NO sense whatsoever
I’d be more interested in these numbers by state. Nationally, I bet a huge percentage of the Obama support is in California and New Mexico. I’d like to see Colorado, Nevada, and Florida in particular.
hell yea...let’s more in illegally and then give them in state tuition...the right to vote
and law licenses
I mean why not?
are u a hater?
I need to know
that canard has been schlepped here for forever...please don't insult our ignorance..just when we get used to it
now if they were all Assemblies of God..you might be onto something but that "but wardaddy they are all Catholics you know" was an excuse for supporting Bush's amnesty here back when some of us resisted and were banned btw
i didn't buy it then or now..white Catholics are barely GOP voters on occasion...latino..nope..a dead horse...that has been trotted out before and is pure bunk
like how many times before they quit believing their own hype
latinos as a rule vote as a minority for preference as a perceived non white minority with grievance of discrimination as such and against the white-anglo predominate culture that they see as the oppressor or they just come for a paycheck and take the advantage presented or they get played or all of the above
they came here to largely do just that in recent years
assimilation is puro Uncle Tomas behavior to them now with a few exceptions..older Cubans and others that fled commies or wealth grabbers or those latino sub cultures seen as "white"
pendejos sin agradecimiento
I received an email recently that blasted his war on religion - when he stated America is not a Christian nation. It gave a brief history of Catholic hospitals and ended with "there are no muslim hospitals".
Almost all union members and government workers I know support Obama! They do not think the bad economy is Obama’s fault. They blame top 1% always! They are so mis-informed, brainwashed and plain dumb!

Try this
Write the Spanish version shown below on a 3 x 5 card then show it to a hispanic and ask them to translate it for you. Tell them you don’t know what it means.
Watch their reaction...have fun with this one.
Por Favor

Perhaps someday Hispanics will assimilate but not in my lifetime. If 0bama pandering to illegals makes Hispanic American citizens happy; THEY’RE RACISTS.
You need to ignore Rove and the rest of the GOP-e. Republicans need to quit pandering. It doesn’t work. There are lots of legal Hispanics who are very worried about the economy and won’t support BO.
If Bush had lost in 2004, Kerry would have been running for reelection during the 2008 financial crisis and Obama would in 2012 be at best an insignificant Senator from Illinois, or worst case running for President for the first time. Even if A President Kerry had beat McCain for reelection in 2008, he would not have enjoyed the size of Democrat Congressional sweep Obama had in 2008. That sweep was a repudiation of Bush who would not have been running as well as punishment from the voters to the Republican Party for the emerging financial crisis. As a result Congress in 2009 would likely not have approved a massive healthcare plan (doubtful Kerry would even have proposed massive healthcare reform) or the level of deficit spending Obama was able to get from the Pelosi/Reid Congress. The 2012 election would likely be a face off between Romney and either Hillary or the unaccomplished Senator from Illinois Obama. Either one would be running handicapped by the lingering Kerry recession and a population tired of 8 years of Kerry.
As we know Bush’s second term was unaccomplished, particularly after Katrina when he seemed just to give up. In hindsight the nation would likely be better off today had Kerry beat Bush in 2004 and won reelection in 2008. No Obamacare, lower deficits, and any administrative power grabs checked by Congress. There budget process might still be intact in Congress instead of being discarded by Harry Reid with Obama’s blessing. Kerry would probably not have executed the surge in either Iraq or Afghanistan, resulting in a very ugly and humiliating withdrawal of US forces from the region for which the American people would blame Kerry.
Even if Obama beat Hillary to get the Dem nomination in 2012 the circumstances would be very different than those he faced in 2008. He wouldn’t be able to run against Bush, instead he’d be carrying 8 years f failed Dem rule under Kerry. The economy would be bad. He couln’t run on hope and change, that theme would be owned by the other party.
I suspect if Kerry had been elected in 2004, and reelected in 2008, by 2012 Barack Obama would have long grown tired of being one of 100 big egos in the Senate club. We know he lacks the long term work ethic to slowly work his way up the power structure. By 2010 he would have seen the odds low of trying to win election as an undistinguished Senator following a failed president of his own party. A bored Obama would have left the Senate by 2010 either to take a cabinet position or to go into academia where he could make money writing books, making speeches and sitting on corporate boards. Perhaps Soros would have made him head if a foundation or he could have maneuvered an appointment to a prestigious tenured professorship at Harvard business school like Elizabeth Warren. In any event he would enjoy wealth without having to work for it while being admired as a great thinker. Plus we, the nation, would have been spared the intentional and destructive assault on our institutions, our economy, and our national identity.
Thinking about it, President Kerry might have been better for the nation than the unproductive second term of Mr. bush.
I am confused that you are confused. The Latinos and Hispanics I know overwhelmingly love Obamacare and gay pride parades, but a bunch of freepers and GOP leaders insist that they're mostly "socially conservatives and devout Catholics".
Perhaps the Latinos and Hispanics you know could talk some sense into the Latinos and Hispanics I know, because I sure as heck can't!
