Sorry; I misunderstood your post, just couldn’t imagine why any body would go through life unarmed. Sounds like Texas has some pretty good rules for engagement. I am stuck here in Commiefornia, but in the way north central part. Here in Trinity county every body is heavily armed for a variety of reasons; bears, mountain lions, illegal dope growers and freeze dried hippies. Were all shooters and pretty good at it.
We all understand the value of good neighbors and that good neighbors help each other; whether it’s fixing the roof, watching out for the livestock or preventing criminal behavior. Natural disaster or man made misery, I would say that 75 to 85% of us are there to help when it happens.
