(snip) The election is not over, but it is starting to resemble October 29 or November 1 in 1980, when, after just one debate, the nation at last decided that it really did not like Jimmy Carter very much or what he had done, and discovered that Ronald Reagan was not the mad Dr. Strangelove/Jefferson Davis of the Carter summer television ads. Like Carter, Obama both has no wish to defend his record (who would?) and is just as petulant. In the next three weeks, he has only three hours left to save his presidency.
There are lots or reasons why various groups are tiring of Obama. It is not just the economy, but also all the untruths about the economy over the last four years that sounded like daily communiqués from the Ministry of Truth. .....

And remember Obama promised in his second debate ('3 hours left to save his presidency') he will be 'aggressive and passionate'.
Bring it on.
I hope the lack of nicotine doesn’t get to him. That’s probably a long time w/o a smoke...
Just like Biden did, Obama will quote lots of numbers, none of which reflect the true sad state of the economy. Mitt simply needs to ask him why he didn’t mention any numbers that are important to the average American — 23 million unemployed, sub 2% GDP, $4.00+ gas prices, etc. Those are the numbers Mitt need to counter with and point out that Obama is avoiding talking about them. That will leave a mark.
However, this is supposed to be ‘foreign policy’ debate.
But Obama is not actually shining in that regard either.
Obama is doomed now. And they haven't figured him out in 4 years as the pResident?
Amen to it feels a lot like 1980!
In fact I’ve said it before here on FR.
I dn’t think the last debate will matter much. If Romney has a good debate tomorrow night, I think he will win. If Obama wins, Romney will probably still win, but much closer. The media will declare Obama the winner if he manages not to make a fool out of himself again.
Tomorrow night’s debate is on all issues.
According to the Commission for Presidential Debates, this one is mixed - domestic and foreign policy. The third one is exclusively foreign policy.
Romney will win but it won’t be a blow out. The electorate has changed in two ways. First, there are many more people receiving federal monies than in the past and many of them will vote for Obama out of fear they will lose benefits, even though it is not true. Second, personally, I think the voters are dumber than they used to be. But R & R will win, just not by Reagan margins.

Sorry, I need to clarify the above post.
I don’t think the final debate will matter much. If Romney has a good debate tomorrow night, I think he will win the election. If Obama wins the debate tomorrow night, I think Romney will still win the elction, but it will be much closer. The media will declare Obama the winner of tomorrow night’s debate as long as he manages not to make a complete fool of himself again. Although Biden made a azz of himself in his debate and the media still declared him th winner.
Obama was never good in school, remember?
(Proof: people with really good grades are not afraid to show them)
He got an affirmative-action pass thru college & Harvard .... maybe he’s just not good at cramming for the big test?
He’ll be naked without that beloved teleprompter.
I won’t be surprised to see Obama get angry iif Romney keeps hitting him with points like he did in th last debate.
‘.....aggressive and passionate’
Yeah, like Mike Tyson on steroids and a crack cocaine high.
Nothing like having to face a really scary black man. And once Barack Hussein Obama projects that image, that is one bell that is NEVER going to get unrung.
Richard Pryor might just look benign in comparison.
Romney will repeatedly have to swallow his rising gorge just to stay in the room. "Closing the deal" will have await debate #3
“I hope the lack of nicotine doesnt get to him. Thats probably a long time w/o a smoke...”
I wonder if using a nicotine patch during the debate would be considered using a “performance enhancing drug”?
