With their body language almost mirrored, Holly Petraeus, the now humiliated wife of former CIA chief David Petraeus sits just feet away from his 'mistress' Paula Broadwell in June of last year.
At the time of the photograph it is thought that the affair between the 60-year-old four-star general and his 40-year-old biographer was still continuing despite both being married with children.
And in a massive irony, both women are watching Petraeus sit before the Senate Select Committee that confirmed his position as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency - the job he resigned from yesterday as a direct result of his affair.

I happen to not believe that much mileage is going to come from the Benghazi issue. But it seems to me that this draws more attention to Benghazi.

Exactly. Do you see a pattern? This guy married the Boss’ daughter. He’s a no-talent grifter. He fit in fine in the Obama administration. Broadwell and Petraeus are a match made in hell. I wouldn’t be surprised but that they get married. They are a perfect match of corrupt, talentless, backstabbing, ambitious grifters.
What a shame, such a distinguished guy fell into the trap of temptation. A career, a lifetime built on loyalty and discipline. And right near the end of it, he let his guard down, compromised on his values and sold himself out. I’ll bet he’s kicking himself even if his wife isn’t. All for a bit of fun with a cheap little slapper.
Does this not tell us all we need to know about the disgusting shit pit that is Washington? (yes I know he was at the CIA, but they mix all the same)
I can certainly say I’ve lost all respect for him, although he certainly has a had a career that is almost full of success.
