Romney shoved the tea party , palin , Paul, etc aside in favor of the rove types. They raised literally hundreds of millions of dollars and had zero GOTV plan.

Want to explain to me?

We all sat for months on this site wondering where the money was going.

free Republic could have run a better campaign on a shoe string.

I am a lawyer who tried to volunteer for his campaign and will tell you this was the worst EVEr. McCain 2008 was better run.

We’ve already been through that. What was the thing that Romney never said?

There woulod have been lots of lovely moola left in the kitty...

Willard knows how to hide off shore accounts...

and Im wondering if Willard wasnt broke personally...

He hasnt worked since 1999...

Hes been living off his investments etc...

Maybe he gambled once too often over the years...

that scam he run would have been a temptation he wouldnt and couldnt pass up...

Ann doesnt like to be poor...

That is the other thing, quit using Governor Palin’s name in conjunction with Paul, in every thing you post.

Paul could never have been a Governor, or even a Senator, even in Texas, he is retiring from his safe seat as an mediocre congressman and moving on after 30 years as a career political hack and cult leader, you should too.

No. I think there was too much voter fraud. Even Jesus Himself would have lost.

Considering the stories we heard about Romney where he helps out people, I wonder if he isn’t somehow helping out Allen West right now.

It’s been a week. I’m sure there’s a lot of tying up loose ends with the campaign being done now. If it were me, I’d want those out of the way so the focus could be on the next step with a clear head.

Ya...I was thinking along the lines of “dying from a gunshot wound”.

But right now I’m...not angry...I don’t know. For a week now, I’ve been trying to figure out what word describes how I’m feeling.

It’s a combination of concepts that I never would have thought I’d be able to have brought up in me at the same time.

I think it’s ‘terrified calm’. It’s probably a less intense experiencing of what I would have felt had I been say....in a trench in WWI and knew I was going to be part of planned attack, and was absolutely going to have to go over the top in 6 hours.

But, I prattle. The point is I said “dying” because I’m trying to keep from sounding more crazy than normal.

“...create just enough buzz to keep the GOP control of the house of reps..”

Nailed it! That’s all the establishment Republicans were ever concerned about. Who’s going to control all the big spending Obama was going to do.

Romney helps Mormons not conservative candidates.

Romney would try to stop West, and anybody else connected with the Reagan/Palin wing of the GOP unless it served him in some manner, and he just had to do it for image, now that the election is over, never.

The scam was Karl Rove and his cabal of consultants - they all convinced the Koch Brothers and AFP and Sheldon Adelson to concentrate the money in Rove’s hands - being the “genius” and the “architecht” and all - and those guys foolishly did.

Thus, the organic brilliance of the American people, which would have sprung up had the money been spread to maybe 25 PACS instead of one, was not tapped into. It was an elitist centrallly operated campaign which worked like elitist central government: as in, it doesn’t.

So the scam was Rove and the boys. Mitt? He just screwed up

Well that and to be a Mormon ‘general authority’. I’m expecting even with the loss he gets the ‘call’ in a few years.

And Romney still carried it 65 - 33.

Quite a bit of that was the Mormon factor.

I think other people are tired of the Paul devotion and persistence, also.

Wow.. talk about a mouthful .. hehe

I don’t understand why Paultards think he (and they) are Conservative... They really have some serious issues (problems, not platforms) and need a hard slap to the face to knock some sense in their heads :p

They are everywhere, conservative sites have Paul devotees, left wing sites have Paul devotees, hate sites have Paul devotees, his worshipers have given him the lifestyle.

Could the man ever win an election outside of his safe district? Of course not.

IT wasn’t just that. Rove and Mitt’s consultants make the most money by just churning out traditional TV ads, so that’s what they did, while Obama’s campaign put much more into new media and their ground game.

The NYTimes also did a piece on how incredibly much more the Romney campaign paid per ad than the Obama campaign, because Mitt’s men were focused on what made the most money for them.
