Umm...What's ILAB ?
Alan Levy : The Man, The Myth, The Slam Dancer | 12/10/12 | Alan Levy

Posted on 12/10/2012 6:53:02 AM PST by Absolutely Nobama

So tell me, patriot, have you ever heard of ILAB ?

Nope. Do they fix iphones ?

Well, not exactly. ILAB is yet another dangerous Marxist-style agency in our bloated Federal Leviathan that almost no one has ever heard of. ILAB is an acronym for "Bureau of International Affairs" and is a sub-bureaucracy of the Department of Labor. It's stated mission is this:

***

"The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) leads the U.S. Department of Labor’s efforts to ensure that workers around the world are treated fairly and are able to share in the benefits of the global economy. ILAB’s mission is to use all available international channels to improve working conditions, raise living standards, protect workers’ ability to exercise their rights, and address the workplace exploitation of children and other vulnerable populations."

http://www.dol.gov/ilab/mission.htm#.UMS2q1KrFQw

***

Hey, that doesn't sound too good.

Yep. That's as commie pinko as it sounds.

Oh, but this gets better. Oh, so much better.

ILAB has its own sub-bureaucracy, the Office of International Relations, or OIR. What does the OIR do ?

I'm not going to like this, am I ?

Nope.

***

"The Office of International Relations represents or facilitates representation of the U.S. Government in the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the labor components of international organizations; provides expertise, research and advice on labor and employment trends and issues in foreign countries; and helps facilitate the sharing of information between specialized DOL agencies and other countries. The ILO is the primary labor standard setting and monitoring organization in the world."

http://www.dol.gov/ILAB/programs/oir/#.UMS5zVKrFQw

***

I---we---Can they---

Don't get all wobbly on me now, patriot! There's more! Guess who runs the ILO ?

***

"The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the only tripartite U.N. agency with government, employer, and worker representatives. This tripartite structure makes the ILO a unique forum in which the governments and the social partners of the economy of its 185 Member States can freely and openly debate and elaborate labour standards and policies."

http://www.ilo.org/global/about-the-ilo/who-we-are/lang--en/index.htm

***

What does this mean for everyday folks like us ?

It means more of our money is redistributed to folks in the Third World who deserve it way more than we who earned it. For example:

***

In other words, we have our own Obamunintern. Forward, indeed.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm fully aware that this wouldn't even be a drop in the bucket when it comes to spending by the Federal Leviathan. After all, our dog eating Homosexual Agenda Pusher in Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, spends $2.2 mil before he grabs his golf bag in the afternoon. Defunding ILAB or the OIR won't balance the budget and bring us to some sort of of Right Wing Utopia. In the grand scheme of things, this is minor. I get that.

But at the same time, we can't ignore things like this, either. The federal government is now using tax dollars to spread Marxist propaganda by using unaccountable, unconstitutional bureaucracies. Take a moment and let that sink in. This is as sinister as it gets. If you need further proof, take a gander who's running the show at ILAB:

***

"Carol Pier was sworn in as the Associate Deputy Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Department of Labor on August 24, 2009. In that capacity, she assists the Deputy Undersecretary in carrying out her responsibilities.

For ten years prior to her appointment, Ms. Pier worked on labor rights and trade issues for Human Rights Watch, the largest U.S.-based non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights. She documented and reported on workers' rights violations around the world, analyzed foreign and domestic labor laws, and engaged in advocacy on labor rights and trade matters in the United States and abroad.

Ms. Pier is a graduate of Harvard Law School and holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame."

http://www.dol.gov/ilab/leadership.htm#.UMUwmVKrFQw

***

Hmmm..."Human Rights Watch".....Why does that word make the hairs on the back of my neck stand at the position of attention ? Oh wait, now I remember! This is why:

***

"While professing neutrality in matters of war and peace, [Human Rights Watch] has been a staunch foe of the American-led war on terror. The organization was a signatory to a November 1, 2001 document characterizing the 9/11 attacks as a legal matter to be addressed by criminal-justice procedures rather than military means. Ascribing the hijackers’ motives to alleged social injustices against which they were protesting, this document explained that 'security and justice are mutually reinforcing goals that ultimately depend upon the promotion of all human rights for all people,' and called on the United States 'to promote fundamental rights around the world.' Similarly, in 2002 HRW claimed that the United States and its coalition allies 'have substituted expediency for the firm commitment to human rights that alone can defeat the rationale of terrorism.' Moreover, HRW warned that 'the coalition risks reinforcing the logic of terrorism unless human rights are given a far more central role.' That is, unless coalition forces followed HRW’s distinctive definition of human rights, they were only reinforcing the 'view that anything goes in the name of a cause.' "

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6258

***

And guess who helps fund Human Rights Watch ? C'mon...take a guess,,,,

***

"In accepting a huge grant [$100 million] from George Soros, Human Rights Watch has spurned the public advice (and warning) offered nearly a year ago by its founder Robert Bernstein. Rather than grapple with the serious problems of credibility and bias, HRW Executive Director Kenneth Roth has cemented relations with Soros -- a partisan ideologue who also supports Moveon.org, a controversial advocacy group."

***

We're on the edge of complete political, economic, and social disaster. I can't gussy it up. I can't make it sound palatable. It is what it is. The end is nigh, God help us all.

In the end, there's no one left to plant the wheat.

The Chinese will plant it and we will give them our last remaining tech and manufacturing advantages to get it.

Tsk, tsk, such ingratitude. You really don't get it. The international capitalist class invested in you, American, to shed your blood to quell those nationalist interests and then build an industrial infrastructure that was portable to any nation in the world with cheaper labor. You were also to guarantee their safety by paying for military protection, worldwide. In more recent years, you built an electronic infrastructure of surveillance with which to make global tyranny a realizable possibility. In return, you got a salary for a decade or three. Now, while we buff our fingernails "lifting the poor" for fun and profit, you bitch.

Be happy. We'll make you comfortable until you die prematurely, that is, as long as you shut up and keep quiet.

Dang, thanks. I had no idea this painful future was for the greater good.

That would be a "lesser good" of only 500 million people or so. It's to "save the environment" you know. Of course, in the process they'll kill the people who know how to run it, but what do they know after living on the land for thousands of years?

Idiots. At this rate their "natural" planet will end up like Mars.

It’s understandable that you’d like to write about good news, and it is most difficult to watch our best-on-earth Republic fall to the enemies from within to appease the raggedy, starving, envious takers, who couldn’t accomplish any such thing as we had, on their own, in ten thousand years with both hands, flashlights, and Harvard educations.

Just remember... They went into hysterics every time they made a communist step here to which we objected, and we backed down from their emotional, senseless arguments because “everybody” was on their side, according to them. For a hundred years, we’ve been sheep with our own wool blocking our eyes. We heard their shouts and clatter, but they were a lot smaller than they presented themselves.

The real tragedy is that they are still small, with small, filthy minds and small, evil goals. But they are Lilliputians tying down the American Gulliver.

It’s well past time when we could present arguments against their evil crimes, for our children have been turned into brainwashed drones for Stalin, who have been taught what to think, but not how to think; which TV shows to watch, and which not to watch; to whom to listen, and whom to ignore. They ignore goodness and light, and they embrace debauchery and darkness, and we see their hollow, glassy eyes on the news every day. Murderers and criminals, not even 19 years old.

Pray for America, and if you have been part of the problem as I have, pray extra, extra hard, as I do.

The ILAB was doubtless a Cold War entity created as an alternative labor organization to Marxist organization in developing countries.

Just as Commies were once booted from US labor but have now US labor has been taken over by Commies, under Obama/Soros, ILAB will promote parasitic Fabian Socialist Marxism, not symbiotic labor/capitalist cooperation.

Sorry for the late response. Hadda go to work. I guess it’s my turn to feed the slackers.

“When the politicians pay the people of the world for not working - they stop working.

When the politicians steal the fruits of the working mans labor to feed the others - they stop working, too.

In the end, there’s no one left to plant the wheat.”

I am sooooo totally stealing this. +1 !!

Thanks, FRiend! Greatly appreciated! Sorry for the late response.

I wanted to stay home from work and host this thread, but Mrs. Absolutely Nobama made me go to work. Something about providing for my family, keeping a roof over our heads, etc. I dunno, she’s becoming a real killjoy.

(Yes, I’m joking!)

All kidding aside, can you add me to your ping list ? It looks like it’s right up my alley.
