Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns understands the horrors faced by five New York City teens unfairly charged with rape back in 1989.
"The Central Park Five," the new documentary co-directed by Burns on the subject, lets the five victims recall that tumultuous time in their lives and documents just how much the false charges crushed their youth.
Yet Burns seems indifferent to another case in which three young men were unfairly accused of rape and waited 15 months to have their names cleared.
Burns brought up the 2006 Duke Lacrosse case, in which three students were accused of sexually assaulting a stripper, during an interview with The Phoenix in Boston...

My son went to high school with one of the Duke lacrosse players who was falsely accused.
His life was nearly destroyed by this Democratic Party persecution.
Think also of Zimmerman who the prosecution issued a fake doctored photograph to hide the severe injuries to the defendant.

Yeah, that format has gotten a little stale.
Living with the whole Libtard movement attacking them for over a year is a “mild inconvenience”? The press crucifying them day after day, 80 some-odd prof’s signing a letter convicting them?, the prosecutor doing his damnedest to fraudulently convict them. No apology, from any of those groups. Nothing. And these guys plus their families had to endure all that? Not mentioning how much it cost them to defend against the false accusation.
I have always known most of the liberals were sort of jackasses but since Obama has been elected it seems they all think they can say things which once would have gotten you in trouble.
Now that I think about it they can say those things with pretty much no consequences. Even totally insane stuff, stuff that would have gotten you laughed at now is treated seriously.
Somebody should drop a dime on Ken with Child Protective Services falsely charging him with child abuse so he can get a first-hand taste of being “mildly inconvenienced.”

I read a book which I think the Coach wrote.
A lot of those kids nearly had their lives destroyed. I think the Coach *did* have his destroyed.
If I recall correctly, he is now coaching somewhere else.

That was one of the reasons capital crimes were moved up to state courts and out of county courts.
150 years ago the fellows at Duke would have been in some really serious trouble.
