We need to Petition for Armed Responsible Adults in Schools, as Israel did to stop school shootings
Gun Watch ^ | 15 December, 2012 | Dean Weingarten

We need to petition the White House to promote Armed adults to protect Children in the schools, as Israel did to stop their school shootings.

We need to circumvent the old media's calling for the failed gun control policies of the past. They did not work. They will not work, and they do destroy liberty.

Armed adults stop crime. Disarmed victim zones facilitate it. Creating more disarmed victims will not stop future crimes.

I am not sure that a petition to the White House web page is the way to do this, but the left has already gathered 100,000 signatures calling for more failed policies to destroy American liberties.

The left is mobilizing to use the tragic crime in Connecticut to disarm Americans. It will have no effect on school shootings. The effective solution would be to encourage armed responsible adults to be able to protect children. We need to promote an alternative, effective solution that builds on America's strengths of self reliance, responsibility, and liberty.

What’s the point? There is no way our president will ever consider it. He wants the law abiding citizens unarmed.

Make it so!

Anyone who has ever filled out a form 4473 should sign it, if for no other reason than to save their dog's life in the future.

Imagine millions of people saying “No!” (and they’re armed).

They need to think again about lock downs and/or school construction.

Think about 9-11. If they had doors that prevented the terrorists from entering the pilots pit, things might have been different. (Look up which lobbyist kept this from happening prior to 9-11).

Maybe we need steel doors halfway down long school corridors that can be closed from a "watch location".

Maybe we need hallway cameras??

Maybe we need to think about dispersing the kids OUT of the buildings instead of making them sitting ducks.

But most of all....we need a place that people can call to report erratic behavior of an individual. I know....They can't do anything BEFORE something happens...or if it's domestic...

I’ve thought about this ever since yesterday. Obviously, more restrictive laws would have zero effect on what this deranged monster did. The ONLY thing that stops an active shooter is another person with superior force. That means “A man (or woman) with a gun.” Period. I don’t care if it’s a police officer or a trained non-LEO. The only hope of stopping tragedies like this is to allow armed citizens or cops inside our schools.

I would bet we have many adults out here who have concealed carry permits who would be willing to take a security guard job at their local school.

Make it voluntary give the school staff incentives to train and carry arms.

We would have responsible people in every school that would be willing to defend their school.

Instead of letting their students and other staff get slaughtered.

If we really want to protect the children, we need to make sure we keep the statists and their rules, regulations, policies and laws as far away from the children as possible at all times.

The problems we have in America are primarily from the agenda successes of the statists and those who have believed in and embraced their agenda.

CT has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. This incident should show that such laws are failures, but instead, the Left uses this crisis to push an agenda of more gun laws that will fail.

Every school ought to have armed guards. Do we value our banks more than our children’s schools?

Yes....it will be much more beneficial to have trained, armed personnel in our schools...ready for such threats. This is much better than the Gun Grabbing Hysteria from the Gun Control Fascists.

As FReeper psycho_bunny so succinctly pointed out yesterday: “This is the gun-contollers ‘Reichstag Fire’”

SCHOOL LOCKDOWNS ONLY INCREASE THE BODY COUNT!!!!

School lockdowns make sense if a threat exists outside the building and you have the means to actually “secure” entry. Any first-floor glass doors and windows equal failure.

However, once the threat is inside the building, a lockdown merely creates a barrel of fish waiting to be shot.

Lockdowns create high body-counts.

If parents really want to protect their children, don’t send them to government buildings where no one is allowed to be armed to protect them.

Also, in Israel, school teachers see Islam as a threat. In America, school teachers tend to be liberal.

Any place that posts a “no guns” sign, albeit a bank, school, store) is giving an open invitation for a criminal to enter and commit a crime. Our kids are sitting ducks in schools. We need someone on the campus who is armed. An armed society is a polite society.
