As Democrats and Progressives use this enormous tragedy as the tag necessary to push for nationwide gun control, permit me, a 30 year teacher of young adult males, to offer my reasons as to why this breakdown in our society is happening.

'Assault weapons' is a political term invented by the left to demonize semi-auto rifles with high capacity mags.
Originally, an ‘assault rifle’ was one capable of automatic fire (multiple rounds fired with only one trigger pull) and had a multi-round magazine that could be removed so another could be installed quickly. Usually cheaply made and not designed to be especially accurate.

I initially refused to answer, then made a mockery of it with feigned indecision. I couldn’t quite decide if the young, tender ones would be better to eat, or if the fat, well marbled ones would be better to eat.
Refuse the life value assessment, if you’re ever confronted with such a depraved set of questions.
The “assault weapon” is a term used to make folks feel afraid. The AWB is still in place up the road from Newtown in Mass. The same equipment could be legally purchased here. Get a couple of pre-ban magazines, and your local insane punk could shoot up the local mall just fine.

You were pretty lucky in that you caught something that you instinctively knew was not right. Your parents must've had a great influence on you.
The program from which I speak was known as a "values clarification" class. It worked to tear the child away from his parents and his faith system only to substitute the teacher as the sole influence. The problem is that the child then gloms onto the teacher who leaves him the very next year. The child is then sent floating away from any mooring, so that when they become an adult and run into serious problems there is no one he can depend on or consult in.
It is essentially the perfect recipe for creating sociopaths.

From the newsfilm clips I’ve seen so far, it looks like the CTSP is handling the press conferences and info releases. Yet, a lot of “unnamed anonymous police sources” are being quoted with differing stories. Is that coming from local LEO leaks? Or are the corrupt media making it up to meet deadlines and fill space?

They’re throwing blame against a number of walls - NRA, preppers, CCW-CHL, firearms etc - and are seeing what sticks where. They seem to have more publicly-available “walls”, this time.
