The opposite of purity is corruption.
About the same time that half the place started calling the other half ‘traitors to their country’ for not campaigning for Romney. They were quite upset we refused to abandon conservatism over an arch liberal.
So we are ‘Putists’.

Who among the conservatives in the House even bothered to run for the job?
If you people had your way, we would never elect any Republicans.
Based on their record since Reagan left, I am not seeing the problem.
Personally I wish they were all gone to the Dem party their capitulation aligns with and goes to, and actual conservatives held their seats.

I am so sick and tired of people who have to complicate everything about this.
1: Believe in something.
2: support those who support that.
Now as supposed conservatives, we should logically support conservative values. Those are not an unknown quantity.
Is Mandating HPV vaccines to kids or mandating anything of the sort conservative?
No. By no definition. So do not vote for or support that.
Is hiring known GOP operatives to tank your own campaign or attacking people to benefit a liberal conservative?
No. By no definition. So do not vote for or support that.
Is jumping on board with the MSM and Gloria Allred to scuttle a man’s campaign based on hearsy conservative?
No. By no definition. So do not vote for or support that.
Is spending months trashing a candidate whose values and policy statements with you agree with OK because she offended you with a TV show that was non-political?
Is it conservative?
No. By no definition. So do not vote for or support that.
And do NOT support in any way, anyone who does.
If we did that. If we stuck to our core conservative values and stopped making every excuse under the sun as to why our own special circumstance trumps those ‘values’ which then are not valuable at all), we’d get GOOD CANDIDATES to vote for.
But we get majority CRAP because decent people will not stand up only to be mocked and slapped around by ‘conservatives’ acting like freaking DU liberals.
That’s another truth that hurts. and FR and every other right wing site is filled with examples. Thus conservatism by extension is filled with examples.
Thus my statement is logically correct. And lots of people do not like that.

I had an opportunity to visit the Reagan Presidential Library over the holidays. President Reagan is the first and the last GOP leader I shall admire or seek inspiration from in my lifetime.
And people are tripping over themselves on that thread and this one to make more freaking excuses.
And they are PROUD of it.

I have the solution. Henceforth all GOP fanboys should beat their heads into a wall everytime the GOP caves in to the Dems or gives Obama exactly what he wants.
Likewise, we non sheep will beat our heads into a wall whenever they do not.
For 1 hour. Non stop.
That will quickly solve BOTH of our problems. Fair I think. Anyone wanna take me up on it? I mean, they are convinced the GOP is correct in their strategies right?

The biggest crybabies I see are the RINOs complaining about purists (conservatives with principles) not going for their socialist ways. Boehner is the definitive example of a RINO crybaby.
A while back I made a post that said nothing the GOP does will stop the true believers.
In the last 6 months, they have trashed the conservative base, demoted their own members, Pushed a documented arch liberal, cut funding to one Pub candidate, allowed another to lose a seat through inaction and today, they come out and flat admit that with enough votes, MORE than enough votes to dethrone the worst GOP speaker to ever hold the seat, they reelect him knowing the base is furious.
Anyone willing to stick with a party that does a fraction of that, and FIGHT THOSE WHO OPPOSE THAT CRAP is not anyone I want on my side of the fence. I will never understand why they are not run out of conservatism on a rail.
Not even Reagan is good enough for you purists. I’ve been told exactly that by your ilk right here on FR.
