You can keep your guns. But, you will pay dearly and eventually have them confiscated anyway

Keep them, but pay dearly

You can keep your guns alright, but you're going to pay dearly for the privilege, end up marked and have them confiscated later anyway. A lot of folks don't want to hear that, but gun owners are being manipulated into a corner.

The powers that be who want us disarmed in order to control dissent want the guns, but must do so incrementally and make a large sum of money in the process. It's like being a smoker, you want 'em and they make you pay. He will issue executive orders, every one of which is going to cost gun owners dearly. Registration, licensing, short-term licensing requiring frequent renewal with ever-increasing licensing cost (already signed into law in New York by Cuomo). They will know where they are and take your money while you hold them and keep them in pristine condition for the day the government decides they have enough support to step in and take them. And, that's only the beginning.

Many of the executive orders and subsequent laws will make it very easy to violate one of those laws which will involve lawyers. This is a class of society to which the vast majority of Congressmen belong and from which many get their funds to run for Congress (i.e. guys like Mostyn). They WANT you to keep the guns, because they are going to be like leeches sucking you financially dry in the process.

Should the United States ever get some men and women of moral foundation (that IS the ultimate problem) into office, then articles of impeachment must be presented against Obama for all of this is a violation of the original 2nd Amendment and its intent. Stockman of Texas is right on in his assessment that if Obama and the Democrats continue, the violation of law must be called into question.

When I ask Mexicans why they do not go back to Mexico and revolt and clean up their governmental problems, the answer is quick and short, "The government will kill us." Very soon, we are going to be in the same predicament. The government is already aiding and abetting crime (Fast and Furious and welfare fraud) and does not want ANY dissent about its corrupt practices. It will all get a lot worse before it gets any better.

Ultimately, the entire question on every issue, be it abortion, guns, "cling to religion", etc., ad nauseum is that the United States has turned away from God and then has allowed immigration of millions from many different countries who do NOT follow what God teaches (even though some profess to be followers of God. The Bible addresses all of this and the consequences and you can go there to read the end of this story.

See “civil disobedience” become more common in practice.

The new civil disobedience will start out small.

What’s the next right to be eroded?

This one is eroded because people - in some states - let it be. In others, it is being more championed than ever by the elected leaders. It is reaching a point, like so many things today, where there will be no fence sitters on the subject. People will live or die by the position they take, as so many in Chicago are now.

Last I heard, you were around when dirt was invented and Moses was an E-3.

I get a compliment and you have to ruin it. Gee, thanks.

the gun over board thing is getting real old

Yeh, well, it's really hard to say that they blew up without a police report, or I lost them in the woods, or someone broke into my house and stole them without a police report, or I sold them to a private individual without a bill of sale.

So what happened to yours?

I’ve complied with all of their “laws” that I’m going to.

Ball is in their court. They cannot force my compliance. They can only kill me.

Of course, they’ll have to send a few people willing to die to accomplish that as well.

They would want a bill of sale for tracking purposes.

If you don't report a theft of a firearm, or have a bill of sale for it, and it is used in a crime, guess who they will come after?

Despair is a sin.

Amen, brother.

The revolutionaries think they have seized the day, even while the counterrevolution has already begun. And unless anyone has forgotten, the fight for freedom always begins by saying "No".

No.

“There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurptions.”—James Madison

You would think he had a crystal ball.
