Chris Matthews on Hillary Clinton's "performance" yesterday during the Benghazi hearing:
Venturing forth in unprotected waters today, she showed how not to be defensive, how not to sweat [and] also how to exhibit humanity and yes, compassion. Even when the witnesses are looking desperately those people around her to target her weaknesses. Again, it was a magnificent display of smarts, I think, guts definitely and caring. She looked every bit like a person who could run for president, run well, win big and serve confidently. What a day its been for the progressive side of American politics. What a great week its been and its only Wednesday.
What a day it is when the leader of the State Department tell's the country that it doesn't matter if they mislead the American people. What a day it is when a rehearsed performance is just so awesome but the failures of the State Department to protect our Ambassador is ignored.
And you know what....it did make a damn difference. CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson:
It makes a difference
WaPo's Erik Wemple:
No matter your view of the medias role in Benghazi; no matter your take on whether U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice leveled with the country on the Sept. 16 talk shows; no matter your view of Fox Newss Benghazi campaign, it surely does make a difference whether it was because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided theyd go kill some Americans. It makes a difference to the media, the public, the government, everyone.
Clintons dismissal of the impetus behind the attack also stands in stark contrast to nearly everything senior officials of the Obama administration said publicly about it in the days that followed, including both the president and Clinton herself that is, when the administration was blaming the attack on a YouTube video. In opening remarks for a strategic dialogue with Morocco video below which occurred four days after the Benghazi attack, Clinton said, There is no justification, none at all, for responding to this video with violence. We condemn the violence that has resulted in the strongest terms. The idea that the cause of the attack should now take a backseat to other concerns seems all too convenient.
You know what else matters? The answer to the following question asked by Senator Rand Paul:

Yeah, Bush should have told them “what difference does it make” on weapons of mass destruction. She gets away with this? We have been officially been taken over. Most people don’t realize it yet. They will soon.
Were we to attempt to quantify the IQ of Mr Matthews, we’d need no numbers to the left of the decimal point...and about 6 or so numbers to the right of it.
How rare it is to find an individual out there even more uneducated, more vapid, and more completely 2nd century than the Obamadork himself.
"I Have No Information On That, you will have to check with the people that ran the annex."
...meaning the CIA I'm guessing.
What difference does it make?
I wish a Senator had borrowed from the McCarthy hearings -
Have you no shame, Madame Secretary - Have you no shame Four Americans were killed that could have been saved had you even read and acted on messages to you from one of your Ambassadors (not just one of 1-1/2 million junk emails). Then you and the President covered up the story, which still isnt completely open.
President Nixon resigned over his actions AFTER a botched burglary that didnt make any difference in an election.
President Obama was elected by a slim margin (300k votes in 4 states would have changed the result). He easily could have lost that many votes, and more, had people understood his complicity and failure to lead and take action that was available. His and your actions appear to be purely political, meant to save President Obamas and your reputations.
President Nixon could have thrown those supporting him under the bus early on as you have just done to Ambassador Rice, but he wrongfully had actions taken to try to protect people associated with his campaign and ultimately assumed responsibility for his bad behavior by resigning. Neither this president, you, nor anyone in the administration has assumed any responsibility - and now you are trying to blame things on the Republican House for not providing money.
HAVE YOU NO SHAME, MADAME SECRETARY!
So...if we openly refer to the president by using the N-word, what difference does it make? He’s still the president, isn’t he?
What difference does it make whether the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor or the USS Arizona exploded due to a careless cigarette? Same difference.
What difference does it make if our decisions are made off of lies or truths? It’s WEEKS AGO.
That’s what she’s saying. So we lied. Big deal. What does it matter now? That was weeks ago.
If these were RAT’s questioning Condoleeza Rice, Missy would be appalled at the lack of compassion or answers given by Ms Rice.
Same UGLY glasses!
What difference does it make, after all, Zero got re-elected, didn’t he?
I saw her Oscar attempts and listened to the news raving over her performance and all I could think was Rotten Tomatoes big time!!
I’ll tell the hag the difference.
It makes a difference if the people can trust the government or not!
It makes a difference if calls from the embassy for help were not heard!
It makes a bigger damn difference if calls for help from the embassy were IGNORED!!
It makes a HELL OF A DIFFERENCE if security at our embassies was not at the highest level ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE WTC ATTACKS!!
Those are just for starters... face it, the phone rang at 3 AM, and no one answered!!
I cannot help but feel so ashamed of the leaders of my country. I feel like I am from a different planet. This is not my America. I am overwhelmed with grief.
Part of me wishes that one of the family members of the slain paid Hillary a visit, and explained in great detail what the difference is, at this point.
I feel sick to my stomach.
