This is great for Georgia in the long run, but in the short run he can do a lot of damage now that he doesn’t have to contend with re-election.

I think he’s seen the handwriting on the wall for 2014.

He is an Amnesty Liberal who voted for McCain/Kennedy a few years ago....and will probably vote for Rubio/Obama Amnesty if it comes up

Good that GA can now find a Conservative to replace Chambliss...just hope he does not cause much damage before then

“but in the short run he can do a lot of damage now that he doesn’t have to contend with re-election.”

RINO’s who screw the people over because they’re free from worrying about re-election just gives conservatives and the Tea Party all the more ammunition to not nominate anybody like them! If Reid and Schumer try to secure his vote because he’s got nothing to lose, they’ll get their comeuppance when they have even more people like Paul and Lee and Cruz and Fischer and Scott and DeMint to deal with.

I hope SC and GA both get some good CONSERVATIVE Senators in 2014! In SC we have both US Senate seats up in 2014. I hope we can get rid of RINO Lindsey Graham.

He’s already gone, replaced by Scott. My point was that the democrats don’t like having to deal with real conservatives who don’t play ball or the “political game.”

Of course he is. He’s gotten loads of flak here in Georgia and he knows he’s toast. My hope is that Herman Cain will give up that spot on WSB and run. He’s crazy if he don’t since he can do more good in the Senate. It would also be me hope that Isakson sees the handwriting and stands firm.

BUT...my predication is that we’ll see Chambliss vote for Feinstein’s bill....he’s a RINO and can’t help it even if he’s bailing with his country club Senate Pension.

As I understand it, West is a Georgia native and there was talk of him moving back home to run for Congress. This is an interesting opportunity IMO. I’d be tickled with Cain also.

That would be awesome if we could get Cain or West elected.

What would REALLY REALLY be funny is if West could win it, and so the left, for all of their effort to unseat him from a shaky seat in Florida, would then open the door for him to serve like 6 terms in the Senate! Or perhaps HIGHER office....now THAT would be hope and change I could believe in!

True. However, West is orginally from Atlanta.
