I would think Hillary will go down in the records of biggest liars. Even the democrats mocked her ‘landing under fire’ whopper.

Why are they understating Hillary!’s importance?

Hillary! is the most important woman in all of history, more important than Eve the African hominid.

More accurately....

The most over rated and under performing political figure in American History.

The Hillary Rodham Claims to Fame:

Rudely addressed a U.S. Senator at Wellesley Commencement Speech.

Worked as a lawyer on Watergate committee and wrote a document in which President Nixon would not be allowed legal representation at his impeachment hearing. One lawyer close to the situation said that she should never, ever again have a position of responsibility.

Became good buddies with the Black Panthers.

Married a guy in order to hold his coattails as he advanced in politics.

Turned her eyes when he had affairs with loads of other women.

Told a women that her husband had raped that she should just keep quiet about it.

Wrote five executive orders extending abortion-on-demand for her husband which he dutifully signed, on their very first day as president.

Began a push for national healthcare and worked it in secret, without input from anyone outside her circle of friends.

Need I go on?

Again, exactly what makes Hillary Rodham the "Most Powerful Woman in American History"?

It must be the mesmerizing crotch:

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
[E]ven the seething hatred has, over the years, embroidered her legend -- debates about Clinton have somehow always ended up really being about us as a nation, who we are and who we want to be, in such a way that even those who dislike her are implicitly acknowledging that, yes, she is the touchstone.
Did he mention the FBI files she had illegally gained access to in order to run the blackmail operation against key congresscritters? The insider trading? Her coddling terrorists? Her gross incompetence as Sec'y of State? Her sham marriage? Her getting her oversized ass handed to her in 2008 by Zero with plenty of help from Partisan Media Shills just like him? Didn't think so.

@5. Pogo, you’re absolutely right. As long as we are not talking about who has had the most *influence*, we can put aside Oprah, Stowe and the like. (Yes, influence is a type of power, but indirectly so.)

If we’re talking about wielding raw, actual power in U.S. history, News-squeak might actually not be terribly far off the mark — but still off. I’d propose these rankings:

1. Pelosi, as austinaero says.
2. Barbara Dianne Boxer-Feinstein, as you say.
3. Sandra Day O’Connor, Ginsburg, Kagan and Sotomayor, as you say, too.
4. Hillary.
5. Eleanor Roosevelt (couldn’t legislate in her own name; plenty of power otherwise, but not as much as the women above).

Honorable mention to Mrs. Woodrow Wilson, for serving as sort of de facto president of the United States during Wilson’s incapacity.
