Invasion! DHS Source Tells Why Military Train in U.S. Cities
The Allegiant ^ | February 6, 2013. | David Bard

Posted on 02/11/2013 11:57:07 AM PST by Nachum

A news article was sent to me earlier this week. It appeared in the Beaufort Gazette. The article stated that later this week about 150 Marines and Navy personnel will hold realistic urban training in Jasper County, South Carolina.

This was one of many joint military-local law enforcement exercises that had come to my attention in less than one month. Held in cities across the U.S., they were becoming more common and more intense. But why? Why train in populated towns and cities where accidents could produce unnecessary casualties?

The Gazette further reported that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will train within Ridgeland town limits. The times and exact locations for the training are not being announced, according to 2nd Lt. Gerard R. Farao.

A little background on the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU). It is one of seven Marine Expeditionary Units. A MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force with a strength of about 2,200 personnel. The MEU consists of four major parts: a command element, a ground combat element, an aviation combat element, and a logistics element. The 26th MEU was establishment in the early 1970s and has deployed extensively, and participated in numerous combat and contingency operations. The 26th MEU is based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

I was once stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC. As a Navy Corpsman, I helped care for Marines. I tell you this because inevitably there will be those that assume I hold some anti-military motive. Quite the contrary. This writer is a Navy veteran, receiver of a Navy Commendation medal for lifesaving, Fleet Marine Force Expeditionary medal (2) and several letters of commendation – among other ribbons and medals. I also spent time at Camp Lejuene.

Governments train their armies to fight the wars they are planning to wage.

Apparently obongo is getting ready to declare a shooting war on Americans.

Look under your kitchen and bathroom sinks, you have plenty of material; you just need to know what to combine together.

‘Why do we have to ‘stay away’ if there’s no danger?’

Comrade MeganC, why are you being so difficult? You realize no doubt that His Holiness Obama is just looking out for our safety.

Come over here comrade, we have a nice shower for you.

This crap started during Klinton’s time and was followed up with Bush. The first I heard of it was when soldiers at Ft. Bragg N.C. set up traffic stops to do “citizen checks”. When they buy so much ammo and set up this kind of practices you have to know where they are headed. Not good for you all those “right-wing” terrorists. Coming to a city next to you if not already! Glad I am part of the left wing, tree hugging, global warming, welfare recipient, Uncle Sam’s plantation group. I won’t have to worry about this............... God bless us all.

They have urban mock ups on bases. There is no training reason to go into real cities unless they plan real action there.
Whatever happened to concern for civilians and children all of a sudden? It's gone!
Does not pass the smell test.
If I had any indication they are preparing for a foreign invasion on American soil I might view it differently.
However, with the sudden push to disarm civilians, the list of highly disturbing "concerns" from DHS, and knowing who's in charge right now, all I sense is their expected enemy is us Americans.

regarding this current administration in the WH, does the architect worry about the reason for their design or worry about something going wrong when implementing their design??

The former is Soro's the customer's business; the later is the Democrat's engineer's. The architect's worry is whether or not the design meets the required aesthetics and utilitarian parameters Soros the customer requires.

Isn’t civil unrest a job, if it comes to that, for the National Guard and not the U.S. Military.

All obama has to do is federalize the troops - ergo, the state can do nothing - the next line of state defense are the state troopers.

I think that partly they are worried about reaction to implementing their designs, and partly worried about coming financial crises and further loss of employment, etc. They can see that the immediate future is going to be problematic. If and when the moochers don’t get their checks, all hell will break loose. I think that is the main reason they are so bent on getting rid of effective rifles and ammo. I really don’t think anything of that magnitude will happen this summer. In the future, possibly, if we don’t change direction.

THIS article is from a LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE SOCIOPOLITICAL NETWORK. Has anyone looked at the banner? One of the posts on the liberal forum:
“What has happened to Real News?
Real news

Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather, and Walter Cronkite are a few names that are synonymous with REAL news. When these real news anchors went on the air, everyone who was tuned in could count on their information to be pertinent and accurate.”

BWAHAHAHAHAH!

These people are professional social psychologists who can get a homeless man to recycle his box home.

Please, think about what they are doing with this article. One of the posts to the original article is as follows:

Michael W Eaton · Port Republic, Maryland
“At no time during my time there were “realistic urban training” exercises conducted in towns and cities. This is a recent development.”

Not true. I was in the 24th MEU (SOC) in 1994-1996. One of the final (and largest) exercises before deploying to the Med was held on the Gulf Coast, in Gulfport, MS and New Orleans. It was conducted with the cooperation of local and state officials, and was a vital part of being ready for Special Operations before combat deployment.

A simple Google search pulled urban training exercise that date to 2000 in Atlanta (http://onlineathens.com/stories/081600/new_0816000018.shtml) among others.

I don’t think this can be termed in any way nefarious or a new shift in training.

********************************

It may not be a new shift in training but they are training more often. Maybe the campaigner in chief just likes spending money or his muslim advisor Brennan is behind it.

looking past the government as being the evil doers which was my point, I agree with you, those in gov are just the well paid puppets. So, how do we combat the orchestrated threat of enslavement that the average American will soon be facing? When God ordered Moses to have the Israelites conquer a people, God ordered Moses to kill all men, women and children in order to eliminate entirely the corrupt blood line. Looking at DC, obviously Moses didn't get them all.

Why can't such “training” be held on military bases and NOT in the general public city areas? Still more gubmint deceit.

ALTERNATIVE ANALYSIS:

The Marines have been doing this for 2 decades when the MEUSOC program was initiated. They use U.S. cities because the infrastructure cannot be replicated on base for the planning and operations. Furthermore, the Norfolk/Virginia beach; Oceanside, CA; and Jacksonville, NC areas are not typically used because of the troops' familiarity with those areas. The idea is to get them in an area where they are not familiar with. I've been in many of these operations, and it was always about development to carry out 17 specific missions overseas, in a challenging environment.

This isn't that hard to verify. Ask any Marine who has been on a MEUSOC deployment, particularly the "Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF); but not exclusively limted to that group. Everyone on the ship knows the deal. It's routine.

What is law enforcement involvement? To intervene if a citizen "rolls up" the recon (which has happened). Civilians tend to wig out when a group of young men with long guns and other gear accidentally get exposed.

There's nothing to see here. Concentrate on your local and state efforts dealing with constitutional protections.

I don’t believe the conspiracy tale. Nuclear exchanges between nations are becoming more likely than every before. Nations plan follow-up landings near military targets of their enemies and also practice defending their own military installations on the ground, including surrounding infrastructure.

Joshua; Moses was barred from entering into the Promised Land because of disobedience. -- Also interesting is the phrase "drive out" which was often used in those commands, and [I believe] indicated a desire on God's part to avoid utterly killing them (not that He wouldn't, just that He didn't wish it). (Of course His primary responsibility is to those He adopted.)
