A wonderful human being has passed.
What do I do when I am angry, happy, or sad? I write.
Back in 2004, shortly after my son, Casey, was killed in Iraq, a grief counselor advised me to write a letter to my son in a journal every night. I filled up three journals in the terrible months after his death. I often wrote at his grave and those journals did help me deal with the unspeakable loss.
Today, I write from a great well of sadness, but not just for me, for the world. My dear friend in peace and justice, President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, just lost his fierce and valiant battle with cancer.
Many people know about Hugo Chavez, the president, and constant thorn in the side to El Imperio the meddlesome and harmful Empire to the north. But I want to eulogize Chavez the man I knew.
He was my dear friend and comrade in a way where we were united in the struggle for peace and economic justice and equality. Its not like I could text him, or we would chat about current events, but whenever I had the privilege to be with him, warmth radiated from his heart and I was able to connect with him in very real and human ways. Compared to the palpable realness of Chavez, most of the US politicians I have met with are walking and talking ice sculptures.
The first time I met him in Caracas was in early 2006 at the World Social Forum. I had been invited to sit on the stage while he gave a speech to those gathered there from around the world. He introduced me as, Señora Esperanza, Mrs. Hope, in contrast to his nickname for George Bush: Señor Peligro, Mr. Danger.(continued)

"I wrote my senior thesis on Saul Alinsky for crying out loud!"
Two bits says this deranged bitch humped Ugo.
I think Sean Penn did him too.
I’d bet money.
The second these cretins travel outside the country to hobnob with international terrorists, we should permanently revoke their passports to return. Let them live in their Marxist paradise.
But he didn’t make Sean wear a bag on his head.
I have always said, I don’t give a damn if they go, it’s the fact that they return that bothers me.
Evidently, she gave him something he never had before.
Given the context of their 'relationship', that might prove to be a bit impractical.
Herpes ?
Sheehan’s an old leftie from way back. I suspect her son went to Iraq just to piss off his mom.
I think Sean Penn did him too.
Matthews is jealous...
Maybe. But I think Matthews is loyal to his #1 bud Barry.
Caracas under Hugo: Murder capitol of the world?
What sheer mindless insanity— someone wanting to be misled. What would this moron say to Chavez’s Swiss account with over 2 billion in it, facts being rather relevant to assessing the sincerity of the “comrade”. Sort of like “if Stalin only knew” approach to revolution, as the shootings continued every day in a prison country.
sheehan’s son, were he alive would have disowned her— she is everything he fought against. What an airhead stony.
BTW Cindy-— a bucket of fresh spit is WARM. And so was the blood of the murdered political prisoners and land owners under chavista gangland. If your life is so empty you find warmth as a comparative in politicians you ought to sit down and ask yourself— “who the hell am I?”
Pray for Venezuela to return to it’s former beauty and productivity, and... maybe freedom.
As someone who has good friends in Venezuela and suffer daily because of Chavez, Cindy Sheehan’s words not only offend me but send chills down my leg and they aren’t the same chills Chris Matthews speaks of.
This eulogy is just like everything else from Cindy the Imbecile: all about me, me, me. Exactly like her opposition to the war in Iraq, which stemmed entirely from the fact that her precious son died there. Never mind the Iraqi mothers whose sons were killed by Hussein and his thugs, nor those whose sons would have been murdered if Hussein had stayed in power. Their grief simply could not compare to that of Special Cindy.
Most of those who could leave the country did.
From the original article;
He introduced me as, Señora Esperanza, Mrs. Hope, in contrast to his nickname for George Bush: Señor Peligro, Mr. Danger.
No matter what anyone thinks about President Bush, if a dictator is afraid of you then you're doing something right.

That would make both Cindy Shaheed and Sean Penn jealous. Danny Glover too.
Ah Geez. I remember her book signing where no one showed up.
I wonder if Cindy got to meet any fellow dissidents from Venezuela while she was there. They could maybe talk about what it’s like to be tortured and killed and have your family disappear for speaking out against the kind of ruthless dictatorship embodied in the American presidency.
Pathetic self-promotion by a meaningless discarded tool of the left. She has lost all her influence and importance to them now that Bush and his war are gone. Whatever’s left of conflict in the middle East is Obama’s and everything is just ducky there, according to the media.
She’s trying to stay relevant (at least in her own crazy mind) to the irrationalism of the left but she has outlived her usefulness. Her only solace might be a free prescription from Obamacare for lithium....either that or a “nite nite” pill that would put this crazy ass to sleep permanently.
Once again the Cindy, Cindy digs up the grave of her son, presenting him as the only serviceman to have died while fighting for his country. While those of us who care appreciate the sacrifice he gave, she has dishonored him by digging up his grave more times than seen in a zombie picture.
was her son killed by an IED built by Chavez dear friends, the Iranians?
Just look at the collection of loons mourning Hugo Chavez
Iran, Russia, North Korea, Cindy Sheehan, Jesse Jackson, Joe4Oil Kennedy (of whom he and his wife drew about a million a year for laundering Hugo’s oil for the poor scam) and Sean Penn
and an as yet unreleased number of the obama inner circle, political appointees and staffers
Put Hillary Clinton’s body on permanent display here in the U.S. when she dies for permanent scarecrow effect.
Pretty sad when you trade your soldier son’s death for some shred of credibility.
Poor Cindy! Thirty years ago she ignored those first symptoms of syphilis and refused to have it treated. Now,it’s reached the brain cells (as untreated syphilis eventually does) and the results have been seen on the front page of the NY Slimes for the last few years.
Sounds just like something Cindy Sheehan would've wrote.
Hm. This is making me second guess my opposition to domestic drone use.
Wow. That's a lot of crayons.
Cindy Sheehan writing on the passing of her friend, Hugo Chavez. PJ, if the DUmmies have commented on Sheehan’s tribute, it could make for a good DUFU for you.
Cindy mostly misses the rough sex. Some people live to be abused.
