Eventually the media will be sufficiently distracted by Team Obama to go cover other issues, so heres an idea how the GOP can keep the Obama IRS Scandal in the news: Start parading the victims of the IRS witch-hunt before the cameras. Think about it. Whenever the Democrats want to push an issue, be it gun control, immigration reform, womens issues or healthcare, what do they do? They find victims to use in tear-jerking fashion in order to advance their agenda.
Consider who Victim Number One in their contrived War on Women was. Out of thin air they found a 30-year-old student in Sandra Fluke, who allegedly couldnt fine nine bucks a month for contraception. She became a liberal folk hero overnight, especially after Rush Limbaugh called her a slut. Instantly she was a feminist icon, fielding calls from Barack Obama and appearing all over the news. Gun control? Gabby Giffords is the go-to victim more than two years after she was shot by a deranged psychopath. Her victimology has been used as a pretense for an assault on the Second Amendment. Immigration? They find some college kid whos been here illegally for years and ask why he should be punished.
Healthcare? Anyone who cant afford insurance premiums is a victim. Forget whether they need or want ObamaCare, as long as they have the talking points down theyre a victim.
Well, now here we have potentially thousands of real victims of IRS abuse, people whos lives have been turned upside down because they have the temerity to believe in limited government and freedom. If you dared to be affiliated with a group using the word patriot, or, astoundingly, wanted to make America a better place to live, you were a target of Obamas IRS.
Now while weve long had a distaste for the liberal culture of victimology, its time to fight back. So heres a recommendation for the GOP and any groups that want to press the issue. Every day from here on out until we get the truth start parading victims before the cameras. Hold daily press conferences where Obamas victims give tear-jerking stories about the abuse and horrors theyve suffered at the hands of this onerous government bureaucracy. Heck, even a group like Christian Voices for Life was targeted. Roll them out for the cameras. Just imagine the photo op possibilities: A group dedicated to saving the lives of the unborn became victims of an oppressive government.
For too long the GOP and conservative groups have been playing catch-up in the public relations war. Now the opportunity to take the upper hand is here. And not only is there an opportunity to seize such a golden issues as IRS abuse, they should also enlist victims of the Benghazi cover-up. Outside of the media, the IRS is probably the most unpopular group in America. Run against them in the midterm elections and wrap them around the necks of the Democrats and Obama.
Make the Democrats defend the IRS. They were the ones calling for investigations of the Tea Party, so make them own it. Its time to play hardball.
I usually don’t read the posts of unknown bloggers, but as a political tactic this is absolutely spot-on. The only question I have is: should we stoop to their level? It is awful tempting but we as conservatives care more about the long term health of our great nation than the left. We should recognize that this issue is HUGE and frankly transcends the normal give and take of politics. We should definitely push for FULL investigation but I am not sure instant gratification is the best approach.
I agree with the concept. If those that are brought forward have a compelling story. It has to be done without out exploiting the IRS victims. Just giving them a forum to share their story.
It is important to stay away from pointing fingers at Obama and focus on making this about a government that is too big. Voters are too sympathetic to him to find fault so change targets. Make it about his style of government.
It gives the Tea Party a chance to demonstrate not just a bunch of angry white Chick-Fil-A loving men.
You would need to schedule hearings based upon various offenses. Take the people that had never been audited, but the entire government apparatus was unleashed on those brave enough to apply for 501c4 status. You could then have a hearing on the specific questions and the chilling affect they had on those who may have withdrawn their applications. Then you could have a hearing on those that are still awaiting a response.
Of course, you would need a commercial campaign putting the IRS face with that of Obamacare 2014. That would increase the urgency to kill Obamacare in the next election cycle.
The trick is will the RINO’s allow that to occur?
Take it a step beyond and be sure to parade Obamacare victims, too. Right now even without the IRS gestapo there are millions already victimized. After the IRS starts in on us the situation will become Nightmare on Main Street USA. Do it.
There were hundreds of old people screwed out of their savings and their homes in Whitewater. Not one of them ever became a household name.
We aren't stooping to their level. They started the war and it's time we finish it!

The problem is that our values are different from the values of liberals. We think differently from them.
Conservatives think that it’s wrong for anyone to be targeted. Liberals think that targeting conservatives is good because they hate conservatives.
Conservatives believe in free speech for all. Liberals believe in free speech only if they agree with that speech, and they believe that they are right in silencing free speech if they disagree with it or if silencing it helps them to win.
I don’t think your idea would work because liberals would cheer each new example of a conservative being targeted and hurt.
I think it is a great idea. Billy Graham, some of the leftie journalists who’ve been compromised, some of the Congressmen who’ve been investigated. Use their tactics? Yes, most definitely. Expose them to the light. These are regular citizens, not Ku Klux Klan types. We the People are furious. I think it is a very good idea.
Agree. Give the victim a face. Personalize it. Think Joe the Plumber.
All that needs to be done is APPLY THE LAW to all involved and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE TO THOSE LAWS. Anyone choosing to be cavalier about the law can be prosecuted for treason. Eric Holder comes to mind.
Never happen. This requires a compliant media, which they aren’t. Obama has check, mate in 4.
The IRS shut down tea party groups from getting started precisely to rig the election for Obama
So the IRS stole the senate and presidency for the socialists/democrats.
Obama and the media want us to believe that Obama didnt know that for 3 years HIS IRS and all HIS agencies were doing all these illegal things to help him rig the election to get him elected(obama)
Fluke was a contrived, fake victim. These irs targets are real true victims. I say parade them! Stoop to their level if needed, we are at war for our republic.
Jammie Wearing Fool is one of the better-known bloggers on the conservative side.
Just FYI.
Woodrow Wilson brought us the IRS and he was a Democrat.
When Congress began holding hearings on the IRS and Benghazi the press began to cover them. I think even the cool aid drinking liberal media must get the uneasy feeling that they are walking out too far on the limb. Could they have kept on the covering up of Fast and Furious, Benghazi and the IRS scandals forever? Are they ready to become full fledged poliburo/pravda operatives?
I think Obama feels invincible because he was invincible in corrupt Chicago. Criminals who have gotten away with their crimes for years begin to think they are invincible. Obama and his crew saw how they had the media in their hand, so of course, they kept pushing the envelope, sure that they could get away with anything because they had their Stalinesque lap dog media in the palm of their hands. Now, the media may be begining to realize the quick sand that they have gotten themselves in.
Totally agree.
Sen Carl Marx Levin warned Republicans not to make this political...hypocrit.
