A friend of the court brief by Lucas Daniel Smith appears on line as having just been filed with the Alabama Supreme Court in an appeals case seeking to reinstate the challenge of President Obama’s eligibility to serve as US President. The online link shows the fully notarized Amicus Curiae (1) which Smith sent to Chief Justice Roy Moore and ten other authorities and includes a copy of the Mombasa certificate of live birth of Barack Hussein Obama II. Other exhibits include passport photos of Obama, Sr. and a postal mailing of the Senate Publication dealing with the Natural Born Citizen clause of the US Constitution.

And unfortunately the Republican establishment has a vested interest in ruthlessly suppressing the eligibility issue too. I was naive when I thought they could be relied on to be a principled opposition party.

I hear you, but, there comes a time when the challenges should be considered a bit late, and with no possible consequences to Obama. He'll finish out his second term, and whatever he will have accomplished, and whatever damage he will have done, will be history.

The only thing to be gained by an investigation in the next 3 years, is to expose the willingness of the democrats to violate the constitution in order to attain their goals. Obama was a means towards an end.

Even if a case were to ever get to court, it would be longer than the time left on Obama's term, and so, he will finish as president. But, if ever there is an indictment and it is proven that he was ineligible to be president, then his presidential library should be banned, and a big asterisk should forever accompany his title whenever he is mentioned or written about in the history books.

Right On Brother,save your wrath for the next election, as the Democratic snakes in Congress are not going anything to happen to this person they have raised up from who knows where.It took them a long time to find him, raise him educate him and put him in the right places at the right time, so they are not going to let all of that hard work go for naught

Yes, it DOES matter - of course it matters - goes to the credibility of the writer - there is a big difference between saying any old phrase that you can pick up in a foreign language (like “voulez-vous couchez avec moi”) and actually speaking a language. Speaking a language with a perfect accent is an entirely different level of accomplishment. I can recite a poem in Welsh, a poem in German, several poems in French, a prayer in Hebrew, as well as words of greeting in Japanese. I don’t speak any of those languages. I do speak Spanish. How would you assess my mastery of any of the above if you yourself did not speak the languages? Do you know what a “perfect accent” is in any of them? Seriously.

I’m not quibbling about Zero’s being a Muslim. I’m pointing out the idiocy of the NYT describing an accent of which the writer could have no knowledge - then everyone runs with the meme.

And besides, Arabic is a language spoken in a number of countries. What sort of “accent” did Mr. Kristof mean? An Egyptian Arabic accent? An Iraqi Arabic accent? A Saudi Arabic accent?

Of COURSE Obama speaks Arabic. He studied the Qu'ran in Arabic. Moslems study the Qu'ran ONLY in Arabic.
