Looks like interesting movie...

If on one night every year, you could commit any crime without facing consequences, what would you do? In The Purge, a speculative thriller that follows one family over the course of a single night, four people will be tested to see how far they will go to protect themselves when the vicious outside world breaks into their home.

In an America wracked by crime and overcrowded prisons, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity—including murder—becomes legal. The police can’t be called. Hospitals suspend help. It’s one night when the citizenry regulates itself without thought of punishment.

If everyone was armed, then “The Purge” night wouldn’t be any different than every other night.

... Who cares about what I would do ..... Heck ... What would happen if all of the terrorists in the country decided to do the unthinkable and do what they do with ZERO consequences .... or .... What about the possibility of rogue Military Personnel getting their hands on the Launch and Authentication codes of our Nuclear Defense system and for just one night can launch thermonuclear mayhem on whatever or whoever he, she, they wants with ZERO concequences.... etc etc etc.

An interesting look into the Leftist mind. They believe that, for the average person, the only thing stopping him from robbing, raping, and murdering his neighbor is his fear of the police. Perhaps that's true for the Leftist, given what happens when the Left seizes control of a country.

In a real-life middle-class neighborhood, if the situation became "do as you will, the police will not care", the net result would be crime dropping to zero, with a lot of the criminal class ending the evening shot, bagged, and neatly placed at the curb for the morning garbage collection.

Good way to live. If your not sure, you're counting on luck, rather than on determination and training. One of the best things I ever did was learn the "Color Code of Mental Awareness", and then practice how to respond, regurlary. It's not necessarily a good thing to be white, mentally speaking.
