Bill O'Reilly shocked the conservative blogosphere when he came right out and endorsed the 'Gang of 8' immigration bill - even though there was no actual bill text available when he endorsed it.
O'Reilly's surprise backing came on the very day that the so-called "Border Surge" amendment, sponsored by Sens. Corker (R-TN) and Hoeven (R-ND) was announced by the desperate amnesty-pushers to try and save the bill, but before some of the nasty details of it had been introduced to the Senate.
Bill'O's total betrayal of "the folks" also came after The New Yorker reported that he and FoxNews anchors Sean Hannity and Neil Cavuto held a secret meeting with 'Gang' members McCain, Rubio and Graham, and promised to support it.
O'Reilly denied this report in his endorsement of the bill...
An incredulous Laura Ingraham came on right afterwards, and proceeded to rip O'Reilly to shreds.
Check out the part when he pathetically hangs his entire defense of the bill on the fact that John McCain TOLD him he would support the border "this time", unlike the 1986 amnesty and 2006 border fence bill.
Nice work, Laura.
For someone who denied being given marching orders by his amnesty-supporting boss Rupert Murdoch to back the bill, Bill-O certainly has absolutely no defense for the actual substance of the bill. The amendment does nothing to guarantee border security before amnesty is granted to millions of illegals, and even gives the DHS Secretary an unlimited waiver to cancel any and all border security promised.
In fairness, when he endorsed the bill Thursday, O'Reilly had no idea of this waiver grant.
But why endorse the bill? Why the rush? Was it because polls and whip counts showed the bill was on the verge of collapse and his secret cabal were determined to rescue it ASAP?
Oh yes, that's right, there was no secret meeting, right? Bill denied it.
But wait...who is the one quoted by the New Yorker about this meeting that Bill said never happened? Let's see...
McCain told me, Rupert Murdoch is a strong supporter of immigration reform, and Roger Ailes is, too. McCain said that he, Graham, Rubio, and others also have talked privately to top hosts at Fox, including Bill OReilly, Sean Hannity, and Neil Cavuto, who are now relatively sympathetic to the Gangs proposed bill.Ah, so John McCain reported the secret meeting that O'Reilly says never happened.
But didn't O'Reilly just say John McCain is not a liar?
"The folks" who would be devastated by the 'Gang of 8' disaster are waiting for your answer, Bill.
Bill who?
Sadly Hanamnesty as we call him has boarded the Murdoch Amnesty Lear jet along with Koch Bros ,Adelson , Charles Butts ( HEB), And all of Roves stooges .
The fact Hannity allowed Rubio to bold face every single week in his TV or radio show says it all.
The amoral phony lets that vile Tamara Hall who was named in a legal procedure as Jessie Jackson whore on his show and into our homes .Hannity used to mock Jessie lies and antics and he employs his whore on hi show and does not tell us ?
Fraud .
...and then came back the next night to host the same show and give the right Talking Points Memo.

Man, but if it weren’t for her, there wouldn’t be a photo under the dictionary definition of snotty, smug, Cosmo-style, east coast liberal.
Looking out for the folks again, eh Bill?
Friday night was a special treat... Wall $treet Week. I miss seeing Milton Friedman... Paul Volker... Malcom Forbes. It's sad to think that Louis Rukeyer has been replaced with some screaming lunatic on CNBC with an obnoxious soundboard featuring a "SELL! SELL! SELL!" button.
Anyways, I actually tuned in not too terribly long ago to NBR... 2009, I believe... Paul Kangas was still wishing everyone the "very best of goodbyes".
If he is such a moron, why is he so successful? The entire country knows him, he gets to interview VIP’s, he makes zillions every year, has graduated from Harvard. So what have you got to show for your superior intelligence?
I like his show because of the variety of interesting segments during the 1 hour show. Hannity jives more with my thinking but is not as interesting.
Don’t I wish I was as thick skulled moron as BOR! Then I would be worth Zillions, meet so many VIP’s, graduate from an Ivy League school, have #1 rated TV show for 13 years running, and have a bevy of beautiful women on my show trying to please me.
On that we can agree....that Laura is sharper than Bill. But I can’t ignore the facts...compared to Laura, BOR makes much more money, has a much more popular show, and gets to interview so many VIP’s.
I work for my family and no one else.
Thanks montag813.
A 21ST CENTURY JOAN OF ARC, SHE IS!
Good. But she still flipfloped like Kerry about a year back. Trust her all you like. I won’t.
‘If he is such a moron, why is he so successful? The entire country knows him, he gets to interview VIPs, he makes zillions every year, has graduated from Harvard. So what have you got to show for your superior intelligence?’
if you think this guy stands for anything but blather after this....WHERE’S YOUR INTELLIGENCE....?
Walter Cronkite was a conservative too! /s
