My wife is very ill and in need of prayer. She was diagnosed with blood clots in her legs several weeks ago and was put on Cumadin and sent home. The Cumadin didn't work, she developed additional clots and several migrated to her lungs. She was sent to the ER and then admitted to the hospital and a CT scan was ordered. The scan showed several clots in her lungs and it also showed a mass on her liver. The oncologist first diagnosed liver cancer and since the mass was relatively small we were hopeful that surgery and a round of chemo would take care of it. Yesterday the oncologist informed my wife that her situation was 'much worse than I originally thought' and told her that the tumor on her liver was a met, not a primary tumor. However, they haven't yet found out what her primary cancer is...they told her she metatastic disease but can't tell her what cancer.
We're both in a fog and feeling lost. I feel like I've been through hell these last three days, I can't imagine what my dear wife must think! She's putting on a brave face and trying to stay positive but this week has been brutal.
Please pray for her. Pray for healing and for her comfort. She is my wife of thirty years, my best friend and soul mate. I will be absolutely lost without her...
Praying.
She's still hospitalized and they still haven't discovered the primary cancer but they have found several more mets in her intestines. They think it might be Bile Duct Cancer.
I'm heading back to see her now...just wanted to say thank you!
Still praying!
Prayers continuing for your wife and for you.
Will certainly continue to prayer for your wife. Praying for a diagnosis and healing. Also comforting for yourself as you make this journey with her. Keep us posted.
Continued prayers.
Prayers
Prayers are being sent to Heaven for your wife right now.
Prayer bump
Our prayers continue for you both.
How is Janet? Prayers nightly for her.
Prayers going up from the desert; I will pray for you and Janet and dedicate the second decade of the rosary tonight to both of you.
Other than the clots though she seems to be fine. Weak and tired, but otherwise fine. She had her first round of chemo last week and has another on Thursday but the Dr. has warned us that inoperable Cholangiocarcinoma (her diagnosis) is incurable and rapidly advancing. We're taking one day at a time. I'm preparing for the worst and praying for the best.
Thank you FRiend!
Thank you FRiend. Your support and prayers are a great comfort to us both!
Keep in mind the blessing of having each other now, in each day. We will pray for you both.
God be with you. Prayers continue for your wife and for you.
Prayers for your wife.
Prayers continue for Janet and you, pgkdan.
I was diagnosed with bladder cancer almost two years ago. A few months of chemo and a surgical procedure in March ‘12 delivered a “cancer-free” diagnosis for me. I am still having check-ups every six months.
I pray for Janet and you that “cancer-free” will be in your immediate future.
May God continue to Bless you and Janet.
