What’s hideous is I’m not sure anyone would care if he did. Sometimes it seems like it’s ‘wink wink, nudge nudge common suspicion’ that he does.
Also “back in the day”, some folks had standards. We would get blasted on our own time, but it was unthinkable to be so much as hungover for work or school.
