Upon migrating to the United States many years ago, I embraced my new home and left the past behind. Never could I imagine that, at some point, that past would become relevant.

But now, I am compelled to talk about it again.

In the USSR, we had state-controlled media which shaped the narrative entirely.

Our founder, Vladimir Lenin, was portrayed as a noble, charismatic, and smart man -- the champion of the underdog (the working class), the seeker of equality, defeater of the rich. The humble man with common ideas who was destined for greatness.

Lenin peered at us intently from textbooks and walls. His was the face behind the good intentions that shaped our everyday life.

As a kid, I was largely shielded by my family -- they took the brunt of "adult tasks" in everyday life. They bribed officials to accomplish the most basic of things, they conserved every kopek and piece of bread, they got me the rare medicines I needed, all through means I didn't dare fathom.

Of course, there was nothing special about those medicines, those favors, or anything else that took such effort to obtain -- in America, you can just go out and get it in a corner store. In the Soviet Union, the word "deficit" was commonly used in everyday language.

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm tired of accommodating something I KNOW will destroy our way of life. I'm tired of apologizing for doing the right thing, for rejecting values and decisions that history has proven toxic over and over again. I can't be afraid of being laughed at or thought "uncool" because I believe in time-tested principles and speak up for them.

We're in a fight for our lives, and the days of meekness are over. So like you say, let God sort it out. I know what side of the barricade I'm going to be on from here on out.

What I also feel it is time to start doing is REALLY calling out those on BOTH sides of the aisle who are doing their best to destroy the country. Make them declare their intentions ...it’s time to know WHO THEY ARE.

And I think it just really starts with standing up for OUR side. For declaring who and what you are FOR. It will draw them out like nothing else can.

I put the destroyers of this country into two camps:
1. The all out communist/Marxists/liberals who just want to destroy our Constitution and way of life to bring about their supposed utopia.

2. Those who would sell out their fellow Americans just to make a buck — those who ARE doing this, by sending work overseas, hiring illegals, hiring the H1B visa holders, etc.

Sometimes the two camps overlap ...and sometimes they disguise themselves so as not to belong to either one. But they’re here, in America, and they’re ruining us.
