Today was the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. The fact that hundreds of thousands of peaceful activists turn up every year in the coldest month in D.C. despite snowstorms and media indifference is a testament to their commitment to building a culture of life.
As Pope John Paul II taught us: To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the common good. It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are founded and from which they develop.
I am personally so appreciative of the Right to Life activists who planted that pro-life seed in me as a young girl observing their dedicated efforts to protect innocent life. To them, Trig and our entire family say, thank you.
Bristol thanks you, too. Here are our boys.
- Sarah Palin
Or who supported it.
Being Pro-Life is a huge testament to your character.
G-d Won't Forget who Stood up for the Unborn either.
"Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! -Deuteronomy 30:19
It’s time for Sarah to consider taking another step in establishing a legacy in perpetuity. I hope she gets with the right group of trust worthy supporters and starts schools, charter schools perhaps, based on the academics and a full appreciation of our constitution. Many rich public figures do it, Oprah for one, Madonna, before she was ready to supervise it. Of course, Sarah has just begun a new reality show. I hope that goes well for her.

Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions) (see Women's Health partway down the page)
The reasons fewer women died from abortions were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the charts carefully. When did maternal mortality rates start dropping significantly?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)
· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing
· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby
· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child
· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)
· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career
· 7.9% of women want no (more) children
· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health
2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So how many womens lives have been saved by abortion?
Less than 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be due to a risk to maternal health. A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But lets say they did. That means that nearly 55 million babies were butchered to save the lives of about 1.6 million women. Or put another way; 34 babies are killed for each woman's life saved.
Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

AMEN and AMEN
Agree 180%
The thing that makes me say ALICE in Wonderland is this.
All these New York Democrats coming out to say they are pro life and are so offended by Cuomo?
They say they are pro life and then go out and vote Democrat, even funnier, I understand a number of Democrats actually attend pro life marches, make a sign etc, and then go straight home and vote Democrat.
I dont care if they say they are pro life, or even attend pro life rallies...If they vote Democrat it`s all for nothing in my opinion
The way they viciously went after Sarah and her baby could only be from the source of all evil, the devil himself. The left is a bunch of useful tools for the evil one.
They wished that child dead every single day, it showed me exactly who the left is and I will NEVER forget it..to see that beautiful little face and knowing one day he will do a google search of his name and see nothing but garbage and death threats, sickening..but he has a wonderful family and a mother who will sacrifice everything for her child..I admire the Palin family so much..everything they have had to endure, most people couldn’t have gone through it and ended up sane
I’d love for her to start schools with Thaddeus Lott. I don’t if is retired or not, but he turned around a bunch of minority schools in Texas and the teachers union hated him.
A worthless target attracts no fire.
As for those who do not, his justice does not sleep forever :(
