The Bible is the most popular and most important book in the world. It has also led to the changing of many lives, cultures, and influences both on a very broad scale and on a small one as well. Find out how and why, as some of these reasons may enable you to give it another look, and thus help change your life in a unique and dynamic way on this edition of Making Sense with Rob Case.
A Fresh Perspective...really?
Sorry, but my message for for both “believers” and “un-believers” (whomever THEY are):
! RUN !, run like your life depended on it.
No Thanks, I DON’T NEED a “Fresh New Perspective” just tell and re-tell That OLD OLD Story(KJV).
Amen!
I'm not even too comfortable with that Jerome fellow translating it into Vulgar Latin? Why did it have to be Vulgar Latin???
There is no need for a fresh perspective.
In fact, it is the fault of all the attempts at “Fresh Perspectives” by so-called Christians during the 20th century that have so watered down the Gospel that it no longer leads to changed hearts and lives.
Just preach the truth. If people get offended, so be it.
Jesus said it was a narrow path to heaven and few there would be that would take it. He warned us beforehand about this.
Just preach the Truth!
You must repent and believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and you must be Born Again!
Sit down and open your Bible, and read.
It will be a fresh, new perspective.
Bible is the same; God is the same; message is the same.
God will show you what you need for now (your perspective may be new to you today).
Rob...any response?
How’s that traffic counter on your PODBEAN site doing? I’m sure lots of incoming traffic from FR, right?
ASIDE: There are certain posters and certain times, Humble, that everyone on FR can agree with your “blog” flogs...even me. Some folks just show up to generate site traffic.
Post like this should be charged for advertising. I wish FR would accept advertising, especially from firearm companies.
Your post doesn't qualify for integrity. It just redirects people to your own site.
That’s just it. It is the truth. It’s just that many people are not receptive to it anymore, nor want to hear it. Many other people have a vague interest towards it, but are too bombarded with the imagery associated with it. That is what this program is designed to address.
That’s just it. In reading it first hand, you get an entirely different outlook completely foreign from how the culture defines it, how even ministers interpret and teach it, and how plain and down to earth it really is.
With all due respect, I don’t believe you listened to the program. John Wesley, George Whitfield, C.H. Spurgeon, and so forth communicated the message. Communication is key, and if the common consensus is that the Bible is a book of stories, than many others will think of it as such. But if someone communicates what it really is, than that alone will freshen the perspective of many who think it is something else because they never thought of it beyond the common consensus. That is my argument.
You’re right, people are no different than they were in Christ’s time, and all those other times you mentioned... at heart!
I do disagree with you however about having a program or approach to preach the truth. Someone may change their outlook because they heard the program. When you communicate God’s truth, you need to come to people where they are. That is exactly what Jesus did all the time. For example, the woman at the well wasn’t thinking about her affairs until Jesus called it out, and exposed it directly to her. Such is the same today. We are told to preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations. Paul reached people by communicating, and that enabled many to be convicted by the holy spirit and from that conviction, turn to Christ.
When I told people some of what I shared in the program in person, they replied to me in the way of “hmm.... that is interesting,” or “I never thought of it that way before.” They never thought of (nor probably cared to think of) the Bible as being nothing more than just a “religious” book full of “stories” and “allegories” that have no relevance in a “progressive” world, but only to a “primitive” populace. People don’t know what to do when they are confronted with a truth that they cannot answer for, and a belief that they hold that they cannot now defend.
