President Obama said a day after the employer mandates for healthcare coverage were delayed that the penalties assessed on those not carrying insurance aren’t intended “to punish folks.”
The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced yesterday that businesses employing 50 to 99 workers won’t be assessed penalties on the non-insured until 2016. Employers with 100 or more workers will be able to phase in coverage to 70 percent of full-time workers in 2015 and 95 percent in 2016 and beyond to avoid being assessed fines starting next year.

“What we did yesterday was simply to make an adjustment in terms of their compliance, because for many of these companies, just the process of complying — you know, they’re midsize, between 50 and 100 folks — it may take them some time, even if they’re operating in good faith. And we want to make sure that the purpose of the law is not to punish them. It’s simply to make sure that they are either providing health insurance to their employees or that they’re helping to bear the costs of their employees getting health insurance,” he continued.
Republicans jumped on Obama for refusing to allow individual the same tax-penalty relief. The president called his actions “consistent, actually, with what we’ve done in the individual mandate.”

Think about the way he treats the "consumers."
Steve Jobs, in creating and selling the iPhone, did not act like Obama. Instead, he treated the consumers as if he needed to know exactly what they needed and he worked to deliver a product that consumers would like and would want to pay lots to get and stand in line for hours.
Obama is not only a bad salesman (although he sold himself well), he has absolutely NO regard for the consumer.
He doesn't care what people really need and he doesn't care if they are really well-served.
Obamacare would be like Steve Jobs getting a government contract to build a cell phone that no one really wants AND getting a law passed which forced people to buy his inferior product. Plus, putting insipid ads on TV intended to fluff up the desire to purchase his product.
How long do you think people would be buying his government-mandated cell phone?
How long do you think his board of directors would let him keep his job?

Warning; may experience loss of insurance, fewer work hours, loss of job, loss of home, loss of doctor, loss of hospital, death panels, IRS fines, IRS taxes, IRS penalties, IRS audits, inability to communicate with healthcare.gov, insurance companies, insurance exchanges, next of kin,... don't try to use out of network, while employed full time, near open flamers or while driving sober.
Everyone I’ve talked to is thoroughly pissed off about this mess. Just complicated everyone’s life.
This reminds me of the scene in “Mars Attacks” (with Jack Nickelson) where the aliens are chasing humans with a recording box that states “Stop!... We wont hurt you!” as they are slaughtering every human that comes into sight.
