You won’t hear much about this week’s defeat for the United Auto Workers. The thugs were trying to unionize Volkswagen’s Chattanooga plant workers. This was no ordinary defeat. It is best described as a death knell for the UAW’s efforts to unionize the South and forcibly use the increase in union dues to finance further destruction of America by their pals in the Democrat Party. That’s over now.
There were a few important reasons for the kick in the teeth the union took, but one you certainly won’t hear mentioned is that “Jonah” Obama who brings defeat to Democrats wherever he goes had jumped into the fight to steal workers’ liberties and predictably his efforts produced nothing.

Just wait until Obama uses his executive pen and phone, along with the N LRB, along with the IRS, to make union membership compulsory, right before the feds start to nationalize those industries, for the common good of the party of course. And if you’re not a member of the democratic party, don’t bother to apply.
These people aren’t stupid, they know exactly how to set up a fascist dictatorship, and the only thing stopping them are an armed, informed minority of Americans.

My brother-in-law is a big union guy. Of course, he’s blaming Republicans instead of coming to the realization that the workers didn’t want it and voted against it.

Thugs may run NY, Jersey and Vegas but they are not welcome in Tennessee...a state where you keep more of what you earn!
A “Jonah” is a piece of bad luck in slang and nautical terms.

Those “big union guys” can’t explain to potential members how their contributions of decades have been squandered and they still lost their jobs.
Apparently 165 VW workers did not bother to vote.
That’s a bunch of hanging chads out there. Or a car trunk full of absentee ballots in Seattle.
That seems incoherent. First, who are The Republicans? Next did they vote to keep the union out or was it the workers at VW? Then again I seriously doubt logic entered into the decision...
My brother was a big union guy in New Zealand ..he used to fly everywhere..made lots of money...
In New Zealand you cant get a job unless you are in a union..
there are no open shop jobs..or at lest there never used to be...
I think we should just acknowledge his as kind and then give him the Louis XVI treatment...and the cow he’s married to too.

No kidding. Including on the front page of the Journal. But nobody reads that, right?
If they fabricate the necessary number of votes, those workers will be making some other type of autos in a few years (without unions).
