CHENEY: We're retreating... and this so-called trade for Bergdahl w/ five of the 

Taliban terrorists... strikes me as part-and-parcel of that unwise policy

(Bergdahl) was AWOL, he walked away from his post... now we have a situation where we've released five the most deadly terrorists 

that we had at Gitmo

These are people who are most-likely to go back and strike attacks against Americans, against our friends and allies in the region... we'll end up paying another kind of price because of the transaction that's been negotiated here

We have to remember what Osama Bin Laden's objective was when we got into all this... it was to 'get the US out of the Middle East'. 

And that in fact is occurring- 

Obama's acting like the war is over, but of course 

'it's over' without us having won it.

I think the whole transaction really represents bad staff work...

and if I was there, I would have opposed the transaction.

Call your Congressman and Senators. tell them you consider this an act of treason against the US and the President has now endangered all of America with another 9/11 attack by releasing these dangerous criminals.

The President must be impeached and removed from office for this treacherous act. That is the remedy under the constitution.

That kind of sums up El-Presidente’s policies. We had this war on terrorism almost won, Iran was ready to rebel, Iraq was peaceful, Lybia was peaceful. The dominos were falling right into place. But soon we will have to do it all over again, fighting many of the same “people”.

We have to be careful about using the proper terms with this. There is a difference between AWOL and desertion. They differ in the length of time the Soldier is away from his unit, but the big difference is intent. Did the Soldier absent himself with the intent of being gone for a little while and then returning to his unit, or did the Soldier absent himself with the intent to leave the Army for forever? Additionally, did the Soldier absent himself in a combat zone? Did the Soldier absent himself to provide aid and comfort to the enemy?

It is apparent that Bergdahl did not go AWOL. Bergdahl deserted in a combat zone.
