To what extent can political correctness or a misguided sense of obligatory deference contribute to the destruction of this country? Low information voters and others who pride themselves on a lifetime of acquiring something for nothing have no interest in and no appreciation of the rights provided them by the Founders of this Nation or the dangers posed by our enemies. For inseparable from those individual rights is individual responsibility which is anathema to those who cherish entitlement over opportunity.
And where do the leaders of our government, from the top on down, stand on the American public mistrusting those who deserve to be mistrusted? At the 2012 Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) convention Andre Carson, a U.S. representative from Indiana said “it was unfortunate that people think we are holding secret meetings, and plotting to destroy the country” followed with “Allah will not let you stop us.” Was Carson reprimanded; was he thrown out of the House? Of course not. Nancy Pelosi just named him to sit on the House Intelligence Committee. No chance of any information going where it shouldn’t, right?
And what about the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the group infamous for taking legal action against anyone who happens to disagree with them, while claiming to be the focal point for Muslims and non-Muslims alike getting together to...
