Matt Drudge is running a "poll" on his Web site it's the Drudge Report, if you have paid no attention to politics for the past 17 years that asks readers to choose their preferred 2016 Republican presidential candidate. As of 3:15 p.m. Eastern Time Monday, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was dominating with 47 percent (more than 84,000 votes) followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.) at 14 percent and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) at 13 percent. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush, who has been anointed by the party establishment as the front-runner in the race, takes 5 percent.
Who cares, you might ask? A totally non-scientific poll you can vote as many times as you want! on a conservative link site. Blah. It's so 1990s.
Except that Drudge and his Web site remains a decidedly relevant player in the political world, particularly with a crowded Republican presidential field on tap and Hillary Rodham Clinton set as the de facto Democratic nominee in 2016. David Freedlander, in a piece titled "Who Will Win the 2016 Matt Drudge Primary" at the Daily Beast, writes of Drudge:
His massive traffic regularly hits around three-quarters of a billion monthly page views, and he can be a key Internet traffic driver to more mainstream news sites. Opposition researchers say Drudge is best at surfacing stories on blogs and in the local press that would not get much coverage otherwise, and that in some ways a Drudge link can be better than getting something on the evening news, as it will have a longer shelf life on social media.
(The piece also has the "Is Drudge dead" speculation that I've been hearing since at least the 2008 election...

Typical leftist tactic. In their mind,if they ask “Is Drudge Dead’ often enough they’ll turn the conversation toward that end.
Idiot Cillizza, as he typically does with anything that is remotely conservative, is completely out to lunch. The article makes it sound like Drudge has the power to unseat Jeb Bush as the front runner and install Walker or Cruz instead. In reality, which is alien to Cillizza, is that Jeb Bush was never the front runner and that the Drudge poll is simply more accurate than the MSM’s assumptions about who the GOP base wants as its candidate.
The ultimate winner is decided by the voters on the line between democrat and republican. Those voters are liberal, and getting more liberal every moment. Retires bought by distribution of government plunder, invading immigrants bought by distribution of government plunder, underclass bought by government plunder, and public employees bought by government plunder.
There is simply no way out of this decay.
Love Drudge. Sheds light on government abuse which you don’t find in other sites
Drudge is ok but not the only once anymore so one can make it without him. Joe Curl, his former editor, runs his own site on Washington TImes’ website. There is also Bad Blue run by another guy who has his own blog site. And there is a lot more sites out there than these guy use.
I found that three of the best are FreedomOutpost, Clash Daily and The Most Important News. These sites aggregator never link to them nor Western Journalism.
One can create their own reader thing and use it if they want.

Now I do go to Drudge to see If I missed anything. But I come here first since it is the best site.
I find that Bad Blues uses more obscure conservative sites and Drudge mixes conservative sites with main stream sources.
Joe Curl’s Right Read tends to use foreign sources mixed in with US news sources. He uses British sites and Israeli English news sites among other sources.
I still think the top seven sites they don’t use are:
http://freedomoutpost.com/
http://clashdaily.com/
http://themostimportantnews.com/
http://www.westernjournalism.com/
http://www.globalpost.com/
http://gotnews.com/
http://rightwingnews.com/
http://www.tpnn.com/
There are others that people can come up with and I forgot some so those are the ones I can think of right now.
