Germany may use army transport planes to send asylum seekers who have had their applications rejected to their home countries in an attempt to speed up deportations and ease a mounting refugee crisis, Bild daily reported on Wednesday.

Chancellor Angela Merkel's government has repeatedly said it wants to speed up both the processing of asylum applications and deportations.

My $$ says this will never happen. It will look “mean”.
Modern day Europeans can’t abide that.

You are right. This is lying BS to cover Merkel’s butt from being quartered and strung up ala Mussolini.

It is an idea that should be adopted here. Refit our surplus B-52s and air drop them into the country from which they came, from 50000 feet.

I’d prefer to see them strapped into the web seats in a C-130.

Ah yes strapping in to a C-130 and flying from Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn to San Diego Marine base - yes I know Naval base- good thing I was 20 years old.

From local press (I live in Germany), there are three elements to the story. The deportation will involve military cargo planes (about 60-people to a plane) and commercial passenger planes leased for X number of flights.

The second element is that they are negotiationing with the gov’ts of those involved....so they can just fly in and off-load. The third element is a no-contestment deal with either the deportees or German activists who might attempt to stop the whole thing.

Now, I will say this....it only affects the Balkans folks which amount to around 250,000 to 300,000 of the entire group. Once they say it starts....they have to lock these people down and wrap this up in two or three weeks. Everyone expects massive trouble, with escapes occurring....riots....and massive trouble with German activists trying to hinder the whole operation. If you were going to bet on the outcome....it’s guaranteed to be a massive mess and Germans get blamed for looking like Nazis.

...and in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... the whingeing Left will start drawing comparisons to railcars in the 1930s and 40s.

Yeah, the airplane option is very messy. Saw video of the French trying to deport people via airplane. Very manpower intensive.

Railway cars would be better, but.....then you have the Nazi thing again. Checkmate.

I was thinking that VW could get involved....give all the current VW Diesel owners a new non-diesel car (swap) and then hand the old diesel cars over to the Balkan’s folks to drive back home, with a full tank of diesel. This gets them out of the US and EU, and everyone would happy with the deal.

Oh. Transports. I guess it was too much to hope that the term “strafing” was going to be used in the article...

So...Germany is going to deport them back to Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan? I’m sure their aircraft will be accepted to land and refuel without incident. /s

They might not get the same altitude or distance with a trebuchet, but it would be a lot more funner.
