Could the new national poll showing Ben Carson ahead of Donald Trump by 4 points be just an invisible new suit of clothes?
In Iowa, Carson is rushing past Trump in some new polls; not all but some.
Iowa is a unique state and lately its caucus voters have not been predictive of who will be the eventual Republican nominee. These polls may or may not be accurate reflections of what is happening because another poll shows the candidates tied.
Those who want to destroy Trump so the Uniparty can continue business as usual in Washington would love see national polls show a big lead for Carson over Trump. But until now they have not been able to arrange it. The national polls have Trump leading by large numbers that are well outside of the margin of error.
The polls that measure national sentiment are a different thing altogether. Enter the New York Times and its poll results to save the day. The Times shows a 26-22 lead for Carson with an admitted 6 point margin of error. This finding might be the beginning of a trend but it doesnât appear to be the case when held up to the light of day.
One has to ask how this squares with an AP poll with a 3.5% margin of error showing 70% of Republicans see Trump as...

He’s a red herring.
Another Operation Chaos.
All those Carson “supporters” are Democrat crossovers who will not be voting for the Republican in the general election.
Open primaries should be outlawed.
Ben Carson has issues with mixed positions on abortion, associations of radical people within his inner circle of advisers, spending habits in his campaign, his views on immigration, death panels, foreign policy....
Need I go on?
If Carson is in the lead, he would be the easiest to derail in favor of the GOPe
I think the Carson supporters are those that detest Trump because, he is wealthy, he is successful, he is a celebrity, they cannot buy him, he has a friggin widebody jet, he is wealthy, oh did i repeat myself?
More than likely they are fellow 7th Day Adventists.
I agree with you on all issues. He knows his field and not much else.
Not to put too fine a point on it; but, he might more likely be a black bass.
I want to like Carson, for his great work as a surgeon, and being a seemingly decent gentleman. But some of the wacky stuff popping up lately is really smudging his image.
Open primaries, 8 of them, were intentionally created by the GOP so Yeb could win the 8 primaries required to qualify for the nomination.
The fix is in as the powers that be want this clown or Rubio, who are both GOPE to topple Trump.
I don’t believe most of those polls. By the way, has Dr. Ben given us another bedtime story about “People I Have Stoned & Stabbed”? What a way to try e-STAB-lishing street credits or for being ‘down with the struggle’.
I discovered yesterday that some people considering Trump were also considering Carson. I don’t know what they thought after the rally. Anyway, it doesn’t appear that it is because they hate Trump.
This may get me called a racist we don,t need to angry black dudes in a row
Carson stumbled pretty badly in the debate. Wait for a few days til the new polls come out. I look for him to start fading.
Two
I had an image of Carson as if he was in the movie Men in Black, a little alien sitting in a recliner in his head with a joystick to move his eyes and lips.
“Is Carsonâs surge real or is he wearing âThe emperorâs new clothesâ to stop Trump?”
Ben Carson should be the new Surgeon General. Nothing more, nothing less.
He keeps having to walk back statements he makes.

Last week he wanted to get rid of Medicare and replace it with a $2000 annual cradle-to-the-grave government subsidy.
By the weekend he was denying that to Chris Wallace, who asked him about his wanting to get rid of Medicare.

Regardless, who is going to pay for that new government subsidy? Carson did not address that.
Carson does seem to like expanding various government functions/agencies/departments. A few more left-leaning positions and he would make a good Democrat.
Aren’t open primaries a democRAT creation? No surprise. Aren’t they the originators of open marriage, no-fault divorce, sodomite unions, infanticide in the womb, etc? What have I left out.
If there’s anything underhanded, devious, surrepticious, ugly, offensive or suck like, they’ve promoted it. And sadly, the republicans have recently sold THEIR souls, and are involved in all of it; “with both hands, diligently”, to quote The Good Book.
I am reminded of the old, notorious quote from Pauline Kael who is said to have exclaimed after the 1972 presidential election â ‘I donât know how Richard Nixon could have won. I donât know anybody who voted for him.’
In my circles when people talk of the candidates they speak of Cruz and Rubio and Trump on the right and Bernie and Hillary on the left. Nobody else makes the cut. It isn’t that they aren’t there - it’s that no one appears to see them as viable.
It doesn’t matter one whit what the presstitutes attempt to propagandize or promote, these are the only ones that anyone I know are talking about.
When asked specifically about Carson they invariably say, “He’s a nice man”. If pressed they respond like I do, “He’s a nice man but not presidential. We’ve suffered through seven years of unpresidential - why not try something better?”
