#NeverTrumpers: While Hillary is decimating America, they can shriek ‘Don’t blame us!”

Because as long as they're not held responsible, the nation's demise is apparently just fine

As far as the #NeverTrump crowd is concerned, Hillary’s election is apparently a done deal. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy if ever there was one, but they just know Donald Trump can’t possibly beat her, and they wouldn’t help him do it in any event because Trump is so icky to them.

Ask them about this, and they will offer elaborate justifications for why Hillary’s election is not their fault! Here’s Brandon Craig at the Reformed Layman going to quite the lengths to explain why a non-vote or a third-party vote by an otherwise conservative voter is not really a vote for Hillary:

Reminds me of the bumper stickers that came out in Bubba’s first term:

“Don’t blame me, I voted for Perot”

Which was BS then, and is BS now.

Someone appears to think that a nominee with an (R) behind their name gets an automatic vote from the Right.

Hint: votes are EARNED, not a default grant.

Trump is going to have to persuade a LOT of people, and especially people who have been grievously insulted by him or his supporters.

Otherwise, many of us will ride with the 16th Unicorn Cavalry this fall. . . .

Maybe Trump’s first step is to send these petunias a box of tampons...

Those inflexible people can keep us posted on their feelings should Hillary Clinton get into office and she installs 4-5 new lefty SCOTUS judges.

Your choice is Trump or the Butcher of Benghazi. Not a tough choice for a “principled conservative”.

These Utopian PURIST NEVERTRUMP people are like spoiled brats who, when they lose a game of touch, take their ball and run home to mommy. In this case, her name just happens to be HILLARY and she’s a real bitch. And if they think they will get some sympathy from her, as my late father often reminded us kids, if you’re looking for sympathy, it’s in the dictionary somewhere after s**t and sweat!

Even if you don’t like Trump or even hate him, even if you are not a fan of Alex Jones or hate HIM,  even if you are into the crazy NEVERTRUMP “thing” if you love America — the idea — and want it to be here for your kids and grand kids, PLEASE WATCH THIS INTERVIEW! The really important stuff starts around 2:27.

And please share it with any of the NEVERTRUMP people you know.  We’re in what could well be the LAST DITCH in the fight for this country!

The Cruz people say they won't vote for Trump because of they have Christian values. Since when is idolatry a Christian value?

SCOTUS? They don’t care about that as long as Dear Leader Cruz gets to run again in 4 years.

#NeverTrump = #AlwaysHillary.

#AlwaysHillary = you were never really a conservative in the first place, "true" or otherwise.

END. OF.

SPOT ON!!

That’s EXACTLY what I’ve been saying here, there and everywhere.

You’re either with Trump, or against America.

In elections of the past...ideologues could "sit out" an election or refuse to bend on certain ideas.
There was far less urgency twenty or so years ago. We no longer have that luxury.

Taking that lackadaisical stance now is utterly insane.
Hillary Clinton is going to load the aging SCOTUS with lefties and remove the 2nd Amendment as soon as she can.
Republican crybabies, meanwhile, refuse to support Donald Trump because he is not "conservative enough" on abortion or whatever is their pet topic? That is seriously nuts.

Go Donald Trump! Defeat Hillary Clinton!

Now that you trumpets have succeeded in nominating a unelectable candidate, you’re allready trotting out the blame card.

Seriously?

Well, bye, then. I hear there are sites that are offering grief counseling/butt hurt treatments, for disgruntled globalists. You may want to visit one.

Checking my social media feeds so far this morning, the #nevertrump crowd are saying:

OMG, Trump’s going to take money from others for the general campaign!

He says he’s considering Ted Cruz as a VP choice.

He’s open to raising the federal minimum wage!

Oh the horror. But let’s take them one at a time:

A national campaign funded in the traditional manner - in other words, raising funds from donors and having superpacs working on similar courses...

Should Trump self-fund the presidential campaign, it would decimate overall fundraising for candidates at all levels. Those candidate dinners raise tremendous amounts of funds for state organizations and candidates, typically shared 50-50 with the national campaign.

This was a concern, and as has long been reported, Trump through surrogates assured leaders that he would participate in those fundraising efforts and would not self-fund a national campaign.

Considering Ted Cruz as VP - Funny how Cruz/Trump was so long a rally call, then it became Trump/Cruz, then it became #nevertrump. What’s the fear here? That Ted will become Dan Quayle II? My concerns with such a pairing isn’t really Ted Cruz, but what is brought to the table. Does he flip a state?

I think that Trump’s statements are just his being a magnanimous winner and saying something nice. If Cruz is on a short list, it is likely third alternate to the second runner up. This is a great time for Cruz to start showing some of that leadership he showed on the campaign trail in the senate.

Trump is open to raising the federal minimum wage - As these were comments in response to questions, sounds like a nominal ‘if congress passes it, I may sign it’ type response.

Personally, I’d love to see the minimum wage abolished, as well as much of the unconstitutional actions by the federal government. To do that will require either loading the SCOTUS with actual constitutionalists who are open to utterly thrashing through the precedent dogma or a congress who reads the constitution first.

Since neither are likely to happen, I just shrug my shoulders and say whatever. Would Romney or McCain have signed such legislation? Of course they would have. Doesn’t make much of a game changer that Trump would. (Amusing how so many of the same #nevertrumpers supported and/or worked for those two...)
