Christie & Ernst are equally bad on political positions.

Grassley & Steve King are schooled on Iowa issues & better orators.

Christie is a handsome, fat, charismatic person.

It's not like anyone suggested is be cutting great deals through cult of personality.

If Trump picked Scott Brown, it would be the status quo deals.

Most Republicans in Congress are going to oppose Trump regardless especially in his first term.

Joni Ernst is a disappointment. Like Laura says, her only credit is her pig commercial.

She has a 60% 'D' rating on her Conservative Review scorecard.

Some people think the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is handsome. Zero did. He couldn’t resist giving him a cuddle.

Donald Trump is 70 years old. You have to seriously consider that a vice president might have a good chance of ending up as President. I don’t want a low experience politician as the vice presidental candidate.

That’s my thinking also. For balance the Veep should be from the South or West since Donald Trump is from New York. That’s why I don’t think a Trump / Christie ticket would draw as much, the guys live 50 miles apart.

Agreed, that leaves Christie or Gingrich. Both have the experience and gravitas to take over without missing a beat. Don’t like some of their politics but that’d be better than Ernst and others that lack experience. She’d be an affirmative action candidate as much as anything else.

It’s going to be someone no one has thought of — someone who is perfect for the job that makes everyone think, “Dang, why didn’t I think of that?”

Trump is playing chess here. Everyone else is playing checkers.

Joni has a military background. She follows orders precisely. But agree she is not ready to lead in the event of a vacancy. Newt is better qualified to be Chief of Staff, as he’s getting pretty long in the tooth, as well. I see no need for 2 boisterous East Coast dudes. I really think what we need is someone who has served, knows their way around the Capitol and is well liked by Congress.

Col. Allen West as VP wouldn't be a bad choice either.

Never happen though.

Scot Brown, a transgender Sarah Palin clone, failed one trick pony politician whose illustrious career gave us Elizabeth, “Pocahontas” Warren then tries to become a carpet bagger like Hillary did and now reads a teleprompter for Fox News — acting as if though he really is a serious dufus dumbazz. The country needs Newt to help Trump kick some sense into prima donna speaker by default, boy wonder Paul Ryan.

Newt’s a globalist, Palin & Brown are not.

I just checked Col. West's biography, and listened to a You Tube video of him in a hearing. He's got a great resume to straighten out the military and foreign affairs. Col. Flynn seems a bit stronger and a more likely effective campaigner for November, more of a fighter for what he believes in.

What's encouraging is that there are excellent people out there in the Republican Party. They just aren't the ones that the leadership is moving up and putting in the spotlight.

“She has a 60% ‘D’ rating on her Conservative Review scorecard”

So what? Make her VP then work as hard as you can to elect someone more conservative to her seat.

VP’s don’t get to vote very often. Their voting record is irrelevant.

The dims would have a field day with Newt.
I really like his thoughts, ideas but he pretty much got ridden out of town on a rail once.
His personal life has been blasted, deserved or not. The perception is he was carrying on with a woman while his wife lay dying.
True? no matter, it’s what is believed.

He would be a drag on the ticket.
