To the Editor:
I'm sick of listening to Hillary Clinton's devotees on TV this morning. It doesn't take a genius to see what the Democratic party did, just before the election they knew she'd lose California, so they declared her the winner of the delegates votes and therefore the nominee. So thousands of people — Democrats — did what I did. They didn't vote! That is how she got California.
I am saddened to see the ugly way politics elect our president. We, the people, simply don't count. We the people, don't elect a president. The delegates, big shots in the party, decide.
Donald Trump was absolutely right when he declared the system rigged. It is. Even though he had won handily almost every state they wouldn't declare him the winner until their delegates said so.
I am old, may not be around next November. But, if I am around, I'll vote for who the people wanted, Donald Trump.
The Republican party is not satisfied with Trump, because he, like the Democrats, wants to help the people. Not the privileged. He said right out, he is for Social Security and Medicare. The GOP has been against them forever. And don't believe all the ugly names Clinton throws at him. One would believe he was a terrible person. But Trump says ugly things about Hillary. Oh, that is terrible! I only hope he buries her in the election.
In her acceptance speech, Clinton had so many wonderful words for all the little girls in the country. What about our little boys? Women's Lib is not good for us. It causes more divorces and will be sure we continue killing our babies legally in abortion.
And as Trump being a racist — The whole GOP is racist as when equal rights was passed by Congress, the whole South, which had been Democratic turned Republican.
I feel truly disillusioned about the whole way we in the USA are thinking today.
I'll close by saying: "Men, get your special organization started! We still need you, even tho the women's lib don't think so!"

Either way, it sounds about right for the type of person who says that all the GOP is racist because all the Democrats from the south turned into the GOP after the GOP pushed through civil rights.

This is another reason Gen Flynn is a great pick for Veep, much to the disagreement of the theocratic social conservatives.
She did say equal rights which would be the ERA that still hasn't passed, has it? Also ERA had nothing to do with race, it was about gender.
But if she really meant civil rights, yes just six Senate Republicans voted against the bill in 1964, while 21 Senate Democrats opposed it. It passed by an overall vote of 73-27. In the House, 96 Democrats and 34 Republicans voted against the Civil Rights Act, passing with an overall 290-130 vote. The real question is which Democrats switched to the Republican Party? those for civil rights or those against it?
The woman is an idiot. She says “equal rights” but since she’s calling republicans racists I’m sure she means “civil rights”. It passed BECAUSE democrats in the South voted against it.
But I’d rather an idiot vote for Trump than a democrat.

We have a problem keeping up with all the “correct” speak or the right political terms. It's easy to be for Social Security and Medicare. The hard part is paying for Social Security and Medicare.

Great point! But he younger generations haven’t done it by themselves. There are plenty of Jews and WWII vets who’ve voted democrat all their lives and will probably never stop. I hope there are more like this lady.
