Vanity: What the Hell is wrong with Sarah Palin?
EEE | 02 DECEMBER 2016 | EEE

Does she not know that Trump assured Carrier that he'll reduce the regulatory climate and lower taxes across the board, which will help not only Carrier but all American businesses overall. How is this crony capitalism? As far as tax credits or subsidies are concerned, those came from the state of IN.

The point is, is that now's not the time to be engaging in this self-defeating crap. Trump already got his hands full by fighting off Hillary from stealing the election from him and walking on eggshells while Obola is still in the WH. Discuss this privately with Trump then if you disagree with it, but going public only divides Trump's support and now the leftist media has a talking point. Who knows, will Palin now do an interview on CNN or MSNBC bashing Trump?

I love Palin to death, bought both of her books, but this was truly a boneheaded move.

2008 Palin awards pipeline contract to TransCanada, a Canadian-based company.

2016 Trump keeps manufacturing jobs in US with Carrier, a US-based company.

They’re talking about 2 sitting D Senators for Secy of DoE that many always thought would go to Sarah Palin in a Republican Administration, so she probably IS miffed.

I was disappointed in her enthusiasm. She really showed no interest. Same with Chris Christie, however he was twice better than Palin, but still wimpish.

Sarah was also the head of Alaska’s Gas and Oil Commission.

Trump himself said in the summer of 2015 that Sarah would make a good choice for Sec of Energy.

It seems that has changed...

That’s exactly right!

She’s pretty, she’s charming, she’s a talker.

There’s times when I think those are her primary qualifications. Yes, I am a supporter, but her speaking out against Trump recently poured a huge bucket of ice water on that that support.

We have this guy called zero (obama, of course) and I compared her to obama in my last post. Now read my second line above. Some consider obama to be good looking, he is charming. And he definitely is a talker. They actually have quite a bit in common.

Point is: She has more in common with obama than she does with Trump, who is a proven success.

Exactly. She said what we should all stand for: a uniform tax/regulatory environment that’s favorable to business, not selective action, and that selective action sends the wrong message.

What’s controversial about this? The rats are the party that picks and chooses favorites to rise or fall. We try to bring everyone up, together. And that’s the message we need to send.

I had written more here but really it wasn’t as good as what Sarah wrote. Seriously, go read what she wrote. She’s spot on.

What part of what she - and I stress this part - “actually wrote” - do you disagree with? Please quote the section of what she actually wrote that you think is wrong.

None of this should be a shock—except that it’s Palin doing it first.

I think Michael Savage beat her by several days. I tuned in Savage last week and he was breathing fire over some appointment he disagreed with. Absolutely predictable.

Her heart is always in the right place, but in this case she needs to realize that stopping the fiscal collapse of the US is job number one for Trump. We are so far down the toilet bowl economically that shock therapy is needed. Without that therapy, we will be Venezuela in 5-10 years, no matter who is President. We have 95 million US citizens out of work and hardly any of them wants to live in Mexico.

For the most part The Hill is a liberal rag.

Did it ever occur to you to read her actual words before condemning her?

This is not a “Sarah Slams Trump” deal. Sarah, correctly, just makes the point that “paying” businesses tax dollars to STAY somewhere in the long run is not GOOD.

That said, Trump knows this, but, still out of office, he is just trying to make his point that this bs has got to stop!

Sarah’s right and Trump’s right!

That’s a very fair assessment!

Once Trump becomes president (hey can we move that up to /tomorrow/?), if his policy turns out to effectively be a bunch of carrier deals, I’ll be the first to oppose him. But he’s not in the White House yet, and so can’t make broad policy changes. This is the best he can do.

Likewise, Sarah is right to point out that these kinds of deals are wrong, and to keep us focused on the sorts of policies that America needs, after years of Democrat crony capitalism. When we finally can set policy, we need across the board policies, not pick-and-choose “Solyndra” economics.

No need to tear ourselves apart and turn on people who share our ideology just because some liberal media rag tries to make Sarah into our enemy, nor to assume the worst about Trump just because he did this *once* to set an example when he doesn’t have the power to do more.

When he spoke in Ohio the other day, I got that what you are saying is exactly what he is doing. He said this will apply to all companies.
