If today’s college student is any measure of how they were raised, a big lot of them were brought up to be demanding, coddled and in charge of the household. These overgrown brats are now out in the real world wielding their self-perceived power and putting their colleges on notice that it’s their way or the highway.
Sociology students, alumni and “allies” at Pomona College did just that in an open letter to the Sociology Department, Dean of Academic Affairs and the school President. They unequivocally demanded the college rescind its offer to hire the white “racist” and “unethical” sociology professor, Dr. Alice Goffman. To show just how serious they were, they demanded the college turn the reigns of hiring over to them to hire a professor who is color-appropriate and more to their liking.

It seems to me that today the only racists are whites when disagree with minority thought or when minorities perceive they have been offended by white microaggressions. I recall that Louis Farrakhan has said blacks cannot be racists. Maybe that explains a lot.

If this is true, it is good news. Colleges have been nurturing the “me-mess” centric education experience. They have experimented with education to the detriment of their customers. It is not at all surprising that the students have embraced the put-upon fantasies colleges have propagated. It is now time for colleges to reap the bountiful harvest they have single-handedly created.
This is a key concept in the conflict theory branch of sociology. It holds that societal norms are in place to keep the powerful (white men) in power. Therefore all enforcement of norms is racist and the victims, no matter what they do, aren't. They are just rebelling against an unfair system. Critical Race Theory grows out of this.
Btw, almost ALL college sociology professors are Conflict Theorist. They are as Looney as you think they are.
The only academic sociologist who produces anything readable is Rodney Stark. I think of Baylor.
