I wonder how many of the sources on those lists are even around now.

That is all copyright stuff.
What about the sites would gladly allow us to post their articles, but are considered too kooky or racist to be allowed?
To: Jeff Chandler
Anything that is not allowed is forbidden.............

you know, honestly, some of the sordid underbelly sites can rarely, actually have a decent story every now and again. Sometimes it’s the only way to find certain stories that don’t fit the narrative.

copy attentive readers or the folks in Fresno.
Someone will direct you to the proper path. Good luck.

Can anyone help out here? I wish I could. I too have noticed what appears to be an increase in the number of "suchandsuch.com is garbage and not welcome at Free Republic" sites.
I usually learn this after I spend a lot of time reading an article, finding it post-worthy, editing and formatting the thread and then hitting the "post" button. Many of these are websites where hundreds not thousands of threads in the past have been posted.
In the old days, we left it up to ourselves to figure out if story was garbage or not.

True, but I believe there are a number of sites that are automatically deleted by the Admin Mods.

More than a few times, I go to post an article, only to get denied as the source is prohibited.
No biggie. I can always do a quick search and find the same story with a different link/author/source and post that.
Only one time I wanted to post a USA Today article, and I couldn’t find another source nowhere.
So I posted the headline and the link. And added my own basic 10 word excerpt (not from the article!) and posted it.
That lead to a very interesting thread and no posting rules were violated.

Good grief - that list is almost impossible to analyze. They should be glad to see potential readers and the free advertising. Most likely some of my posts were from these nitpickers - I thought the moderators checked them before the thread went up. Oh dear!
