Rep. Steve Scalise, the third ranking member of House Republican leadership as the majority whip, along with at least five other people, including a member of the Capitol police force, were shot Wednesday in Alexandria, Virginia. This occurred during the Republicans’ early-morning practice ahead of a charity baseball game. A congressional staffer, Zach Barth, was also shot in the leg and has since been released from the hospital. Matt Mika, a lobbyist for Tyson Foods and former congressional staffer, was also identified as one of those shot.
“One of our greatest American values is our strong belief in the inherent worth of every human life. Human trafficking is a direct assault on this core value, and it affects millions of victims who need our help,” Rep. Scalise said.
Federal law enforcement officials identified the alleged shooter as James Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Illinois, who died following a shootout with authorities. He was a left-wing activist and had been involved in domestic abuse. He was, also, a foster parent, who had abused his foster daughter terribly. In April 2006, Hodgkinson was arrested for battery, domestic battery and discharging a firearm, after he allegedly physically assaulted his foster daughter and two of her friends.

According to Jerome Corsi, either the DEEP STATE will be successful in impeaching Trump on fake charges or attempt an assassination. President Trump needs to announce that he is fighting back by:
1) Announcing the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Loretta Lynch’s Obstruction of Justice concerning the Clinton email scandal
2) Opening all government files and appointing a special investigator to investigate the JFK assassination....
The President needs to ignore the RINO advisers in his cabinet and get very serious about taking the battle to his political enemies.....(JFK didn’t listen to Corsi)

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, a veteran combat surgeon, rushed to Scalise’s side to administer emergency medical attention after the bullet struck Scalise in the hip. Both Scalise and Wenstrup have been very vocal about their efforts to end human trafficking through legislation.

Here is what I haven’t heard explained yet. If the shooter was behind the 3rd base dugout and Scalise was playing 2nd base, why not shoot the 3rd baseman or shortstop or even the guy hitting (or hitting grounders) at the plate? They would all be much closer and easier to hit would they not? It sounds like Scalise was targeted in this scenario. Just my overpriced two cents worth.
It's obvious Trump is consolidating his grip on the Executive branch one appointment at a time. The swamp draining has just started with Comey but it will build momentum, quietly at first and then with sudden effect. Once the indictments begin that's the end. That's why the desperation to take Trump down now.
