How Did Trump Earn an Unprecedented Progressive Backlash?
American Greatness ^ | 7-10-2017 | Victor Davis Hanson

Posted on 07/11/2017 2:04:43 PM PDT by Sir Napsalot

Celebrities, academics, and journalists have publicly threatened or imagined decapitating Donald Trump, blowing him up in the White House, shooting him, hanging him, clubbing him, and battering his face. They have compared him to Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin. And some have variously accused him of incestuous relations with his daughter and committing sex acts with Vladimir Putin, while engaging in some sort urination-sex in a hotel in Moscow.

Yet all this and more is often alleged to be the singular dividend of Trump’s own crudity, as if his own punching back at critics created the proverbial progressive “climate of fear” or “climate of hate” that prompted such uncharacteristic venom. (emphasis mine)

In truth we are back to ..... the Left did to George W. Bush what it is now doing to Donald Trump.....

(snip)

The difference with Trump hatred is not some unique intensity or prior provocation, but rather Trump’s singular counter-punching. ..... Trump in Samson fashion is quite willing to pull the temple down on top of himself, if it means his enemies perish first.

(snip)

For now, Democrats are running against Trump the messenger who supposedly has lowered the bar on presidential behavior; they cannot run against his message, largely because they have none of their own, and the Trump agenda is both popular and seen as a return to what used to be the normal way Americans governed themselves.

Separate Trump the president from Trump the media ogre, and then most of his policies seem traditionally conservative, logical, popular, a return to normality, and a much needed corrective to the past eight years, which is the true lost era.

What is weird is ..... his critics who cannot separate the man from message—much less concede that just possibly Trump might succeed because, not despite, who he is.

The Globalists thought they had control of the GOP. They thought they could control events to such a degree that there would never again be a President who would not be afraid of them.

Trump smashed through every barrier they put up.

I contend that a backlash is some form of retaliation. There’s nothing to retaliate for, on the part of the left. This is a “fore-lash”.

All Trump had to do to earn the hatred of the liberals and their media was to speak the truth.

It occurred to me over the weekend that Trump may be one of the "Two Witnesses."

The backslash is more a coup attempt at this point.

Kaine used the word “treason” today. Howard Dean said Trump’s presidency was a “criminal enterprise.”

Leftists were mad at Bush. They are batshite looney over Trump.

Basically, he won.

That was all that was necessary.

2016 was never meant to be Hillary vs. Trump.

Her coronation against a Jeb! or Little Marco was pre-arranged, just like the previous election Romney’s token ‘fight’.

At first, the Left was gleeful that Trump emerged as front runner, because they thought he’s the easiest to tear down. And when Trump was close to cinching the nomination, the one-worlders desperately tried to push the failed Kasich forward. After GOP convention, the “Right Establishment” (the NeverTrumers) even going so far as to pull an Evan McMullin.

Trump won because of the traditional Democrat blue collar base, and so far he has kept his campaign promise to fight for the little guys. No or little progress can be mostly blamed on the Republican controlled and totally useless Congress.

Well, not exactly.

Trump is quite willing to pull the temple down on top of himself because he's immune to the chunks of concrete that are falling all over everyone around him.

Trump didn’t earn any of this, and that is vitally important to understand.

There is an agenda, and anyone who “puts their head out” is going to get hammered. You can look at mob mentality for this, you can look for the machines inspired by mob mentality because they are frequent fliers as collusion goes. This is Nancy Pelosi, this is the Chicago machine, only instead of the hard old stogie-chomping men who made everything happen, this is their effed up progeny, several generations along. Perhaps as a result of having mixed with Continental-types at the finest universities money can buy.

This will happen to ANYONE who stands up. They will try to convince the target that it is a reaction to whatever it is that they are doing, or whatever they have done, but that is a lie. It is all about the agenda. Nothing personal. But the best way to break a person is to convince them that the abuse being heaped on them is somehow justified by something they have done. Don’t buy it.

Not only the RATS and media are against him, but also the feckless pussbags in the GOP.
The President is not part of *their* club...not one of *them*. He threatens their rice bowls and therefore MUST be destroyed. The RATS and media are rife with outright attacks..... as are some in the GOP. The rest of the gutless Republicans, especially the Congressional and Senatorial leadership just sit by the wayside watching the grass grow while the brickbats fly.

Sooner or later the pitchforks and torches will come out and God alone will be able to save the politicians from the peoples’ wrath.

Trump dared to tell the truth.

It really is no more complicated than that.

He is hated for his plain and outspoken rejection of globalist nation melting.

He is hated for jeopardizing the MIC.

He is hated for speaking up on behalf of all the ‘normies’.

He is hated for being supported by ‘deplorables’.

This is war, and he is hated for fighting back against the statists, freaks, and globalists.
