We also know that many who supported Ted Cruz were either silent after Donald Trump received the Republican presidential nomination, or went all out on the "vote your conscience" last-ditch attempt to thwart the will of the millions who voted for the party front runner. Some even publicly announced they'd never vote for Donald Trump in the general election and were rewarded with a gubmint job.
It now infuriates us that some of the very people who lectured us about "conservative principles" and insulted Trump supporters daily on social media or on their radio programs are now being praised for telling us what we already knew about President Trump as if THEY knew it all along.

They are like the ‘never Reagan’ group, they will disappear from history.
Sometime last week, Rush had the gall to infer that he'd played it down the middle during the primary, and that he never played favorites with the candidates.
My eyes just about popped out of my skull. The man was pro-Cruz all the way, and covertly dumped on Trump nearly every day. He treated Trump supporters so obscenely on occasion, I had to shut him off.
I know, I felt the same way about Rush. I have not fully come back to a total trust no matter how glowing he now is about Trump.

And, post election, people who want to somehow purify the party down to only those who promoted Trump in the primary. or only those who vote for awful ideas just because Trump favors them. People, including The Don himself, who spoke of primary-ing out HFC members who were against TrumpRyan 1.0, for example.

That’s fine, though I don’t really know what you mean about “rewriting history”.
If you mean you intend to make them keep promises, I’m with you. Same goes for Trump. He’s gone soft on several.
Forget all of that. Cruz faces a determined Democrat challenger in 2018, and his reelection is no sure thing.
Beware when it says, “R-SC,” “R-WI”, and “R-AZ.”
