Are you a straight man who likes women? Do you kiss and cuddle with your male friends just for funsies?
No?
Well apparently, youre the weirdo. Because according to Attitude Magazine, it is totally normal common, even for straight men to canoodle with their straight male friends.
To the confusion of straight men and people of logic everywhere, Attitude ran a befuddling article entitled: "New Study Finds Straight Men in Bromances Often Kiss and Cuddle." (For those unfamiliar, a "bromance" is a slang term for a close friendship between two heterosexual guys.)
Attitude claims:

You wrote Satan. I read Salon.
If you do that, you’re gay.
One is likely the stooge of the other, imho.
Make themselves normal or give themselves lots more opportunities to attack fresh meat?
Now I have to research the research design to counter propose you.
Your last line reminds me of Tucker Carlson commenting on Trump’s hacks.
Maybe in a ghey comedy team, but otherwise, no.
Googled Bene Brown. She’s associated with Huffington Post. She’s obviously a faggot tool.
Certainly the author has a pro gay agenda. It just does not appear that he distorted the solid results from several different groups interviewed/surveyed.
Of more interest to my household is--what are the implications of such shifts in normative behavior? Time will tell. The most benign form of implication might be western cultures becoming more like some Asian cultures in such matters. That could be very interesting and potentially constructive.
It is interesting that so many are determined to distort reality regarding the topic--evidently to preserve the rigidity of their intense biases. They almost or do sound threatened. If so, it's sad when platonic caring triggers a threatened response.
Silliest? Evilest.
She, herself, was uncomfortable with some of the places her data took her.
Actually, she has more of a conservative Christian Texan background than liberal stooge background.
Watch her videos. The data stands tall on its own. And the directions the data took were wholesale. There was no 50/50 divide sorts of stuff, IIRC. The data percentages were all more on the order of 80-95% or some such, IIRC.
Of course, if you or anyone else on this thread is NOT interested in understanding and treating facts as FACTS--then enjoy Alice's rabbit hole because you're not, then, dealing with or in reality.
What I think.
My gaydar just hit 100%.
No, kissing/cuddling are not “platonic caring.” They are precursors to sex (unless you’re under the age of 10 - hopefully).
Whoever did the study needs to go back and do a study on the definition of the term “straight men”.
BINGO!

I will definitely research Brown and the study. I don’t trust you. As mentioned, being a roommate with a psychologist gives you zero credibility. I am a child of a psychologist, ergo I have more credibility than you.
Your last line indicates your desire to attack those who decry your opinions (as previously noted). That in itself indicates you are not to be trusted.
People of authenticity and genuineness will ferret out the truth, regardless.
Yeah, I can tweak back on occasion. Some jerky carp doesn't deserve a free pass.
My housemate has often commented on how much we think alike. And sometimes he was annoyed that I was so well-read in psych. LOL.
People are more than welcome to disagree with my opinions. They are merely my opinions. It's irrational emotional blather pretending to be a rational solid and accurate response that can get annoying.
If you are the least bit fair-minded, I think you'll respect a lot of what Brene Brown has to say. If not, it will be your loss or lack of perceptiveness.
Most of Brene Brown’s stuff is fairly self-evident for anyone who has watched people closely for 60-70+ years.
Perhaps for you, you are locked into a Freudian paradigm wherein EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS SEXUAL!!! Sigh.
Rational, balanced, healthy folks don't live that way 100% of the time in 100% of their relationships.
Both life-long family friend service dept head and his son kissing goodbye on the lips after lunch were not in the least bit gay. Not even 0.000000001% worth.
