On Thursday night hours before US President Trump was to deliver his much anticipated economic speech at World Economic Forum in Davos — The Trump-hating New York Times dropped a hit piece claiming the president wanted to fire Robert Mueller but didn’t six months ago.
Someone within the Mueller investigation decided it would be an opportune time to leak this nugget to the press.
Friday morning in Davos President Trump was asked about the hit piece — The president called it fake news, “A typical New York Times fake story.”
That New York Times article about Trump ordering Mueller to be fired was written by Michael S. Schmidt and Maggie Haberman. Maggie Haberman attended the off the record secret meetings with Podesta and Benenson — but it’s always good to remind the readers who Haberman is:
Joel Benenson, Hillary Clinton’s chief campaign strategist, said they have a “very good relationship” with Maggie Haberman and they “have never been disappointed”.
Haberman was hired by the NYT‘s DC bureau chief Carolyn Ryan in January 2015, a few months before the beginning of the primaries.
Maggie Haberman was hired as the presidential campaign correspondent, effective February 15, 2015.
Hillary campaign official Joel Benenson e-mailed the Clinton campaign in January of that same year.

Jennifer Palmieri, Director of Communications with the Hillary campaign sent out this e-mail, a few months later in July of 2015:

“Maggie thinks it is responsible and that we are not going to have a problem with it – it will have all the caveats that HRC has not actually proposed these policies, and has said that we will pay for any new policies. She is going to read me the story later today off the record to further assure me. I will let you all know how that goes. Jen”
And Maggie Haberman attended both off-the-records meetings with John Podesta and Joel Benenson before the primaries:

Even this fake news is stupid. He was going to do something and then he DIDN’T do it?? Even if true why would that even be news in a sane world?

The NYT piece said Trump allows people in the WH who disagree with him. And HE LISTENS TO THEM.
Whether or not this story is true, it’s big news that they admit Trump isn’t the my-way-or-the-highway dictator they thought he was. This story should make them feel much safer.
Trump gave an interview to Habermann not ago. He must know she hates him. Hard to understand his chess game here.

I’m waiting for the release of the Fusion GPS bank records by the House investigators.
I think he truly wants to be a uniter, and not create or add to division. Of course he is aware that many if not most that he reaches out to will not respond favorably or fairly. He makes the gesture and how they respond is on them.
