Speaking of leftist insanity and news going under the radar, on Tuesday, an Episcopalian church in Indianapolis decided to protest President Trumps zero tolerance immigration policy by putting statues of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus in a cage of sorts, topped with barbed wire.
Well, I thought they were caging them to keep liberals from stealing baby Jesus.
Rev. Stephen Carlsen told the Indianapolis Star : I know what the Bible said Were supposed to love our neighbors as ourselves.
This is just another example of how much of the church chooses to stay willfully ignorant of the facts.

Insanity at its finest. Read Chapters 1-3 of the Book of Revelation . . . all these reprobate churches/congregations are described.
So glad I #WalkedAway from the Episcopal Church when I did.
Episcopals = The Church of the High Holy Anus and Sainted Rectal Prolapse.
>>an Episcopalian church
These days, there is no such thing. It is either Episcopalian or it is a church.
This must be the First Church of Holy Asshats
Im sure the good reverand will be removing the locks from his doors.
I thought the LEFT didnt want a theocracy and abhored religion. But now they have figured a way to use religion for political purposes so they love it. Like Obama reading bible verses.
Someone should ask this church how much money their are paid to resettle these people and sign them up for free stuff that I pay for?
Where is there charity in that?
Confusing mandates for individuals with mandates for a government. Jimmah Cahtah was big on that one.
...So glad I #WalkedAway from the Episcopal Church when I did...
The Episcopal Church walked away from its mission some time back. So did Lutherans when they began to ordain homosexuals.
To be fair, the religious left has made some legitimate points and has been stalwart in the face of criticism when it mattered. Im thinking of Martin Luther King and William Sloane Coffin. But they mostly bend their interpretation of Scripture to their temporal political ends as you suggest, IMO.
Episcopalians. Not moral enough to be Catholic, not strong enough to be truly Protestant. Of all the denominations, the ‘Piscos embody the heresy of organized religion.
No offense intended, but I have friends who attended an Episcopalian church, and they concur with my sentiments.
Please give an example of these “legitimate points” of which you speak
Chruhes have lost the true teaching
Young people are abandoning them
I’ve turned down three invitations to join
Now they’re desperately seeking hispanics. Illegals or not
I think you meant the ELCA, not Lutherans per se.
Civil rights and opposition to the Vietnam War.
Of course, I do not agree with most of the other positions advanced by these people.
What absolute morons .
