Here we spend some time exploring China. In particular some of those outstanding mountains that are just about everywhere.

Please kindly note that this post has multiple embedded videos. It is important to view them. If they fail to load, all you need to do is to reload your browser.

China is a land of some amazing nature and spectacular views. You look at the brochures, and the commercials, and the videos and say “Man oh man, I just have to go there and visit that place!“.

Well, this is what it’s like…

It’s all about the climb.

This is MAYDAY in China and everyone is out enjoying the parks and the fun of spending time with family and friends. China has some amazing, and I do mean, AMAZING parks.

This post gives a pretty good overview. And not, I am not exaggerating about the climb. All of the parks are on the tops of mountains. And YES, that first micro-video is reflective of it. Seriously!

As anyone who has been in China can attest to, even going tot he HEad is an exercise in climbing!!!!

Yes, please post it here. I don’t like clicking on links leading to servers in China.

One wonders how someone decided to build on top of some of those mountain spires. ...And try and get a plumber to come out for a repair. The portal-to-portal cost is going to be something else.

Beautiful, but not for me. I don’t like heights. I like looking at the pictures though. Beautiful country.

I assume this is your blog and hiking in the mountains is one of my favorite activities... I found it interesting. Additionally, since you live in China... would you agree there is a misconceptions of “economic” China? That country has the most modern cities of the world and is more capitalistic than imagined by the west?

China is a Godless autocracy that our globalist elites have got into bed with to make big bucks, idle our work force and create social havoc in the USA..

That is funny.

Yup, I would imagine that it would be problem, but in China, I would imagine that they just allow the pipe to exit at the side of the cliff (like in the video) and lord protect those below! yikes!

One of my sons lived in Shanghai for three years without incident. What did he miss?

This is MAYDAY in China and …
. . . and your use of all-caps over a godless communistic “holiday” alternately called International Workers’ Day shows your enthusiasm over Marxism overall. Bet you can’t wait for the “reactionary” USA to start having May Day celebrations over all fifty states, eh comrade?

China is more capitalist than the US. But they are leading the world in people control technology although I think we will eventually catch them.

Robowombat posted a link here at FR today: Dark Times in Hong Kong

I am sure there are lovely things of beauty in China. But it is good to remember that there is a proverbial iron fist under that velvet glove shown to the world.

China only has enough capitalism injected to give the appearance and make things work so they can finance what the government needs. Over there, you live at the whim of the government, which is nice as long as you keep your mouth shut, the money flows in and social unrest is low.
