Intelligent Democrats could end the impeachment nonsense if enough of them leave their brain dead party to start a new party I'll refer to as the "Y2K" party [to use a non-political term]. With enough members, the "Y2K" party could form a new majority coalition with the Republicans to take control of the House. The coalition agreement should allow Y2K members to keep their committee positions and seniority. .
The coalition might issue a statement that coalition members want to work together to develop compromise approaches to controversial issues. A compromise on immigration could involve Congress providing money to hire border people to build the wall and get green cards.
Speaker Pelosi couldn't punish those who leave her party to be part of a new majority coalition.
Name one...
Intelligent Democrat? That’s an oxy, moron.
Some are smart. Some are real stupid. But they’re all a bunch of liars.
“..Intelligent Democrats...”
Those two words don’t even belong in the same sentence.
Same with “American” and democrat.
If you look over the Democratic Party today....it is around six different minor groups, which hold enough of a ‘trust’ to continue operating as a single party. You have (1) the union guys, (2) the blacks and Latinos, (3) environmentalists, (4) school unions and teachers, (5) urbanization ‘pimps’, and (6) the intellectual/college crowd. All of them could branch off and start their own party.
...compromise on Immigration.... LOL. No way.
Since there is no honor among Thieves, I always wondered what the Democrats had on each other. It certainly isn’t common sense nor pragmatism.
Intelligent and democrat. Can those two words be used in a sentence together?
Nahhh.. If they were intelligent they wouldn’t be democrats.
That’s an oxymoron but I’ll go out on a limb and say impeachment may not pass because if it does, there’s a lot of Dems that could end up being asked questions in the Senate trial... and that could be even more embarrassing for Dems than the whole impeachment BS.
It would be easier to lure those 31 democrats over to the Republican party.
Oxymoron is only one word. Just sayin’.
I wish your idea would work. Im sure some Dems...in Trump districts are very nervous about their future if the articles are ratified. Those may be the ones you are talking about. They arent that smart, but even dumb animals have a strong survival instinct. Some of them are already discussing venture as an alternative... so your idea has not only merit, but maybe slight traction.
I know. It was a play on the word. Just sayin’.
Good post!
What we’ve seen recently is the supremacy of 6 and 3, with a little of 5. 4 fits in very closely with 6, so I’m not sure about the distinction.
Trump is taking most of 1 (minus the Red leadership) and some of 2.
Depending on how much of 2 he can get will reveal how much more he will win in 2020 than 2016.
I don’t believe you fully understand how political parties work.
Think in terms of a multi-layer marking, sort of like TUPPERWARE.
Democrats in Congress are all at different layers (based on seniority) so newly minted Congresscritter is on the lowest rung of the ladder. They can win election (or re-election) only by being subservient to those above them.
It is rare for someone to switch parties as they will not be treated well by the party they left and not trusted by the new party.
The chance of a group of one party forming their own party is zero. They would not have the money or organization to pull it off.
You didn’t recognize the play on words? Just askin’.
I did think about it being a play or a typo. I decided I’d rather help a freeper to not make that mistake with that particular word because that would look kind of ‘moronic’ Oh boy...
Would any intelligent person be a party to the Party of Hate and Evil?
