That is essentially what Sen. Schumer was saying today if you eliminate the unnecessary and leave only the core of what he was getting at. But it isn't McConnell's job to fix Schiff's intentionally-made mess.
And Schumer's hypocrisy was open for all to see: let us railroad Trump in the House and let us railroad him in the Senate as well.
Schumer knows that Dems in the House blatantly defied the courts and thumbed their nose at established court precedent as SCOTUS acted rapidly in their role as arbiters between two co-equal branches when Nixon would not hand the tapes over and could have acted rapidly now if Dems had went to SCOTUS to get documents they were seeking, etc.
In short, there was no need for the Obstruction of Congress article from the House.
The unmitigated gall that Democrats are showing lies within them isn’t surprising at all.
Give it time and they will try to force others to call them by their chosen personal pronouns and force us to bake them a cake and on and on.

What he means is that he wants to question Trump’s personal advisors and aides in a fishing expedition.
Dems expect the stupid party to help them out, by keeping a lid on THEIR Ukraine corruption - even as they impeach the Rep’s leader. THEN, in gratitude, Dems will bash the Rep’s as an election issue, for failing to impeach.
So let’s imagine that the trial comes to the Senate and McConnell decides it’s a waste of time. He calls for an immediate vote, which declares Trump innocent and ends impeachment. What’s going to stop the Dems and the MSM from spending the next year screaming coverup? Thanks to Schumer they will already be able to claim they were denied a chance to make their case. FReepers may know that’s a steaming pile of BS but more people get their news from the MSM than from here.

If any one of these criminals ever fell over clutching their chest, I swear I would wait 15 minutes before calling an ambulance.
There is a lot of information which should get out to the public.
But getting it out to the public would seem like a political smear job (and “unbelievable”) if it just came out of nowhere.
But if there is a trial, with witnesses testifying under oath, and documents entered as evidence, then it would be believable and it wouldn’t be a smear — I mean, it’s what the Democrats asked for, right?
I think the talk has been about “quick business in the senate”, but I would not be surprised if the Dems are walking into a trap. A long trial in the Senate could do wonderful things for the GOP. I think it is essential to draining the swamp.
The house needs to either drop this or go back to house and let republicans call witnesses and have public testimony.
And while Schumer just admitted that they don’t have the evidence they need to convict, every democrat will still vote to convict, and not one media person will ask him about it.

Bull..... The Constitution states that only the a House has the power to impeach! Democrats want to confuse and twist the law to suit their agenda
