My registered nurse GF went into the Air Force as a 2nd Lt. 2 weeks of orientation/training and a lot of partying.
He’s the white Obama. A Manchurian Candidate fabricated in a Deep State lab. He’s done a terrible job as mayor as well.
If he weren’t gay, he wouldn’t be in the race. He’s their ‘hope and change’ candidate without the fake Baptist preacher tone and zero plan empty chair ghost written rhetoric.
Direct commissioning for doctors, nurses, dentists and lawyers is a well known military practice. This is nothing new or unusual.
I thought he went in as an Ensign?
Not to mention he always talks about being “combat veteran” in Afghanistan when in reality he was a paper pushing desk jockey who never even left the base in Kabul according to those that served with him.

The direct commission path does NOT require attendance at an academy, ROTC, or Officer candidate school. Most often, it is a means to bringing in talent directly into the military that otherwise would not be available.
It is my understanding that specialized law degrees, medical doctors and cyber security professionals can be directly commissioned as a program. Others on an individual basis.
In my almost 7 years of service, I only encountered 1 direct commission (Presidential appointment). So it is VERY rare.
A Navy Lieutenant is same as other branch Captains...two silver bars, “railroad tracks”. Direct commissions are only normally given for prized skills such as physicians, dentists, nurses etc. And even at that they have to go through some sort of basic officer training program. At least that’s the way it used to be, Butt probably got his commission the same way Hunter Biden did...political connection.
Except he wasn’t a doctor, nurse, dentist or a lawyer.. Intelligence.. no hint of training either...
This pisses me off I had to damn well almost die to get an O-3 after my name.
After OCS and Flight Training and transitioning to jets all I got was a Lt-jg.. that’s an O-2

Right, not unusual. Doctors usually go right in with a commision.
