plus the longer schools stay closed the longer an employee can refuse to go to work and still get unemployment even if the company pushed for them to come back (if they have their own kids) ...one of the requirements and allowances of the Cares act.
Fine. No pay. I have no appreciation for the educational system anymore.
Endless shutdown=no tax revenue=no state aid=see you teaching jobs.
But the teachers onion didnt get that connection.
The teachers not coming back next year certainly did.
If the schools shouldn’t reopen, then what do we need teachers unions for?
Sad for teachers unions... More parents are realizing the value of online or home schooling.
Fvck teachers unions.
Great opportunity to destroy the teachers unions.
Go homeschool. Go co-op. Private instruction.
Of course, public school teachers are getting paid to NOT work.
Nice ‘work’ if you can get it.
Of course the states want the Federal government to come up with the $$$ since they killed off their own tax revenue.
If they won’t come back when called, stop all benefits. Let ‘em scream!
