This is really STUNNING information!
The Texas Department of Health released numbers recently comparing the coronavirus to the last two seasonal flu viruses.
The coronavirus was actually less lethal than the flu in the state!
The flu had a mortality rate of 0.03% and 0.04%.
The coronavirus has a mortality rate of 0.01% in Texas.
This won’t make any headlines.

I’m really confused at those numbers. First, flu stats are so far off base, they are some of the most unreliable official numbers the government does. The official death numbers for flu are generally 5-100x higher than the actual confirmed numbers for flu deaths. But, let’s ignore that and assume your article’s chart is accurate.
165M tests, 35M positive, and 12M deaths in 2018. That gives a 33.7% death rate, not .04% like the chart lists. Likewise, an actual 66.3% recovery rate, where the chart says 99.96%. The only way their percentages make sense is if they’re using total Texas population, but obviously not everyone gets the virus (21% of those tested!), so how is their recovery number so high? Extrapolating that to the full population would make their (already inaccurate) death rate 5x higher than shown (for 2018). Likewise, 2019 would have a 6x higher death rate, and ChinaVirus would be 10x higher! The recovery number should only be based on positive tests, not total population that hasn’t died (even gotten infected).
And, of course, this doesn’t take into account all the fake positives, false positives, common cold positives, or subtract deaths that were more attributable to other causes, like getting run over by a bus.

100 hundred thousand dead, when it was projected that 2 million were to die! And this is a nation of over 330 million people. Get a grip.
And of those hundred thousand, how many actually died from something like cancer or run over by a bus, but tested positive so they're officially a ChinaVirus death? Not just that, but the majority of the people dying are older folks/those who are dying soon anyway. The number of people dying to this disease is about equal to the number of people who die each day anyway, so it's not like the lockdown is helping the death rate much, but it sure is spreading out quite a bit of other damage.
And soon, we'll probably start seeing lots of people dying from missed medical issues: not getting cancer screenings/treatments done on time, surgeries and other that were delayed/canceled because of the hospital shutdowns, or from folks needing medical attention but too scared to go to a doc?
